I can't remember the name of this children's book where a guy has this huge stack of hats atop his head. It's a really colorful cover and that's all I can remember

Is it Bartholomew Cubbins by Dr Suess?
It's probably Caps for Sale, a really charming book with beautiful colorful illustrations.
Caps for Sale was my absolutely-favorite, Mommy-please-read-this-one-again book for quite a while when I was little.I still love the book. :)
Oh, wow! Caps for Sale was a favorite of mine as a kid - and my mom's! She used to read it to me using this really terrible Italian accent for the hat seller. I will never forget the way she said the line "Hey you monkeys, you give-a me back my hats!" LOL
Or Mem Fox's The Magic Hat.Well maybe not, but its still great.
My parents were forced to read it so many times that they can still do it by heart!
