Can't remember when I've been this angry, Part Deux

I did not.
You posed a question to members and I responded that I would question the credibility of an author who wrote such a scene. I never said I would question YOUR CREDIBILITY.
You asked how readers would respond and I said how I would respond.
If you don't want to know the answer to a question, maybe you shouldn't have asked it.
Good luck to you,

I read your post from yesterday but am just now commenting. This whole situation to me just doesn't make sense. For instance, my newest book has no sex at all, not even implied. The characters just did not reach that point in their relationship. Anyway, the feedback from my readers so far has been fantastic - even without their consummation. I would never apologize for it because each story is different, and I wrote what my characters needed at the time.
Maybe it's that my readers are involved in my writing already and just like my stories, but Anne I think the most correct answer to your question is tell a good tale that's true to you and your characters! If your characters eventually have sex, fine. If not, that's fine too. Make it romantic in other ways. Romance is not just about steamy kissed and passionate lovemaking. Romance is the process of falling for someone and wooing him/her to win the prize. Seductive touches, whispers, snuggling in bed, etc. - all that can work and sometimes is better at building the tension!
I'm so sorry this has happened to you. It seems extreme and unfair, but do not take it to heart. There are wonderful places to exchange ideas, this being one of them :).
PS - In my newest book, they do snuggle in bed and not have sex! :D

What is the name of your book, it sounds great!

And she misspelled "tact".
Okay, now that's just low of me, but really, your answer was passionate and confused. I don't see where it was inflammatory and I especially don't see where it was ban-worthy.
This just has me confused. I'm so sorry you're going through this. I don't know what else to say. I'm speechless.

Kinda sad though, you make someone a mod and they become meglomaniacal. And I think I spelled that right. ;P

What is the name of your book, it sounds great!"
Don't be sad. Remember, when one person has a bad day and they take it out on others, they have only themselves to blame and live with! Take it as a reminder that those people are just not your type. Being rude, crude, vindictive and mean are just unnecessary and unprofessional actions. Who needs that?
The book of mine I was referring to was the second in my Evans Series. I don't even think it's up here yet - LOL. It's called Through Winter Skies. If you're interested, let me know and I'll send you more info. :D
Finally, there is no shame in sticking up for yourself, especially when you are calm and matter-of-fact. Never apologize for that. An argument only becomes one when one of the participans loses their temper, as your moderator obviously did.
Hold that head high! :D <3

I'm not an author, but I'm a writer and I'm writing a story on here called Trespassing. It's a dangerous bad boy story and my couple share a bed, but they don't have sex. They do kiss and some of the scenes might be too hot for some people. My heroine is a virgin and the hero knows this. He will not cross that line with her. Marriage is the key. Plus, my hero is celibate.

I'm not an author, but I'm a writer and I'm writing a story on here calle..."
Arch, sounds like an awesome story:-)

Warning: My story has errors and it's long. It's two years old. I have been writing this story since 2010. I'm on chapter nineteen now. My story reads like a script.

Cool! I'll check it out. Thanks:-)

Never mind stay here with us where you and your clean books are appreciated! As an avid reader I can tell you that clean books are hard to come by and I hope you write many, many more!
And here's a fluffy pillow and a brownie, they are my cure all for everything horrid! :-D
Hi Anne,
I deleted your topic in the Contemporary Romance Group because I do not want to have to referee members. I expect everyone to act like an adult and respect other's opinions.
You presented a question to members of the group, then became hostile and aggressive when you didn't like what they had to say.
I'm not going to go tit-for-tat with you nor will I allow you do to the same to anyone else in the group.
Please use more tack and diplomacy when posting future comments. Please remember that when you pose a question to members, you may not always like what they have to say, but it is not your place to go off on them.
Thank you,
Kathrynn
FYI. I did not 'go off' I had my 'credibility as an author' called into question and said, simply, "What the heck does writing a scene where two people share a bed but don't have sex have to do with my credibility?"
Oh, and I did make a sort of snarky remark when my question about why my post was deleted seemed to be ignored.
Then the mod BANNED me from her group.
I'm so angry I'm crying.
GAH.
And I'm so glad I've found you guys. :)
