Why. Why do authors do this. The book has his real name in big letters, then his pen name, then he releases it under another pen name. What is the point. It looks like all the books in the series need to be credited to Greg Donegan, Robert Doherty and Bob Mayer. In that order. Then they can all be combined.

Ok I've fixed the ones I could find. The Area 51 series also needs fixing. They all need to have Robert Doherty as main author and Bob Mayer as secondary author.

I was so confused when I heard about Greg Donegan/ Robert Doherty/Bob Mayer for the first time. Somebody recommended to me a book by Robert Doherty but on the cover the author was listed as Bob Mayer. It took me a while until I figured out they are one person.

This really needs to be in big writing somewhere. Whichever edition is the most popular (most shelved, most added, etc.) will show as the default edition. There is no way to change this. Once the new edition becomes the most popular it will become the default.

The goal was of course to be able to have the ISBN and specific cover in "My Books". However I am not finding the book when I search for it under author or title sorted by hardcover. Is this a function of not adding correctly? Or is this where the "combine" function is required?

Not possible. Alternate cover editions cannot have an ISBN listed in the usual spot. I did combine the editions, though, and moved the alternate cover info to the right spots.

It goes in the description field (and in a Librarians Note, which only librarians can add), not the edition field. You can see where I put it on your edition.

The first is a Kindle edition and the second is a hardback, but the first has the title truncated and the second has incorrect author details with two authors listed instead of one.

The author is just Keith Skipper. The full title seems to be "Going Bats in Norfolk: True Cricketing Tales from Keith Skipper".

(A quick glance through the list of books for the incorrectly attributed author Skipper suggests that there may be further confusion between "Skipper" and other authors with that surname.)
