@SevMe too. I wanted to get a recording of the whole night, but my iPod had a pretty low battery, and I forgot to record my own stuff.
Next time, though, I'll be recording the whole thing. I think we have plans for one in late August or early September. Or I can just go to another local slam, but I'm not as comfortable recording those because I don't know those poets as well and they might be, um…not suitable for fourteen-year-olds.
@SevExactly. Which is why I used that age. Truuuuuust me…even in conservative Utah, there are some pretty raunchy poems. My favorite poem by Roah is one that uses prostitutes as a metaphor. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I heard about a poem that drops the f-bomb an average of once every 3 seconds. And, depending on the poetry scene, there might be a lot of really graphic "hey, look what homosexuality is all about" type poems.
Sooooo…yeahhhhhh.
Anytime. I think, in Bookeaters, I'm going to put up a topic where you can find the cream of the crop poetry that doesn't get any worse than PG-13. (You'll rarely find PG poems, though. We're all suicidal maniacs.)
Nope. I'm not planning on it anytime soon. Too many people love me for me to pull it off. Plus, I don't really struggle with suicidal thoughts anymore. It's been a long time.
Wouldn't it be really sad if someone on WWAC just died? Then the rest of us would be here wondering if they abandoned GR or what and we'd never know they were dead. Unless we stalked their newspaper's obituaries or something.
@SevI've actually had experience with that sort of thing. I've known suicidal people on here and sometimes they just go months without posting and it freaks me out. :D

That would be very scary.

And she thinks I'm getting more sleep because I sleep late xDBut really I'm getting the same amount cuz I'm staying up so late.
I complain to my parents that I fall asleep at midnight but thats only because I'm on my iPod till then.
I used to party online until I either fell asleep or Eliza went to bed ('cause she and I would just talk). That was usually around 3 AM. Then my parents put a block on my Internet that didn't work for my messenger at first, and then it did. After that, I just partied by myself until I fell asleep (around 2 AM). Then my work schedule changed. Now I'm asleep as early as 11. O.O
Because they thought that's why I stay up so late. They don't believe I have insomnia or depression. Pretty great.
*flails violently* This is one of the poems performed by one of the professionals that showed up at last night's slam. Oh man…probably one of the most memorable pieces for the night.
