Other than the fact that both dwell in the realm of science fiction, no.

No DRM and a life times supply of the scifi books.
Given that they're charging $10 for old ebook on Amazon this is a pretty good deal.

You don't actually get charged until the end of the pledging period. So no matter what, you won't get charged for 10 days.

Yeah, I had forgotten that delayed (and only if it gets full funding) aspect of kickstarter. But I have pledged now regardless! :)

A new Kickstarter project is in the works to preserve classic sci-fi. As you probably know, a LOT of old sci-fi novels are out of print.
Singularity & Co. (love the name) is a project to acquire and republish those books, one every month.

It's a great idea, and for a $25 contribution, you get access to every book they publish for life.
I love classic sci-fi, so needless to say, I'm contributing. What's awesome is an anonymous benefactor is matching all funds contributed, so your money is going to go a long way.
