TLOLL: Why isn't there a map?

Are you reading a UK version of the book? When -Lies- was published, the general prejudice on that side of the Atlantic was to avoid maps, glossaries and other traditional trappings of fantasy. This was a calculated and well-meaning attempt to not "scare off" potential readers who weren't used to those things.
Mind you, these same folks are justifiably proud of the absolutely gorgeous map that forms an essential part of Joe Abercrombie's -The Heroes,- so perhaps things can change...
Cheers,

I printed a map from google which i fold up inside the book and use as a reference point. I must look a geek on the subway :)

Also, if I see a map I expect to see my protagonists traipsing all over the continent, so it wouldn't have set up my expectations right.
