message 201: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) I just use Google chrome and ask it to correct my spelling mistakes.
intrigueing is... incorrect. It is spelled intriguing, apparently.

Of course they don't. You should hear my grammar in Hebrew. In English I need to try ten times harder because it's much easier for me to make a mistake that will deeply confuse both of us. Besides, I thought we already settled I'm extraordinary.

LOL. Google chrome has spellcheck? That's interesting. My brother keeps slamming my decision to use internet explorer and I asked him what else should I use, Safari? He looked at me like I was insane.

English is a silly language. And if you ever slip up on your grammar, I'm used to picking apart not-so-good English, and yours is better than most Americans'. So it's likely I'll understand what you mean after a moment. :)

message 203: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) Google Chrome rocks.

Yeah, my English is superior isn't it?

You know that I've been basically just saying how superior I am and none of you have said anything against it yet? I keep expecting someone to say something against that.

message 204: by Cheyenne, HoH & Proud (new)

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
Yeah. Good point. I just don't contradict interesting people. What if they stop saying interesting things? Don't ask, I'm an odd one.

message 205: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) Odd is cool. Odd is great. Odd is wonderful! Look at all the awesome weird ones out there! That's my life philosophy, right until I need to chose between the philosophy and fitting in. Basically, haven't you ever met a hypocrite before?

message 206: by Cheyenne, HoH & Proud (new)

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
Oh yes, I'm a huge hypocrite. Can't think of any specific examples, but I'm sure I will eventually.

And yes, I agree that odd is good. The world wouldn't be any fun if everyone was normal.

message 207: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) The world is full of paradoxes: Just the fact that every one's odd makes it normal.

message 208: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (bkbsmiles) | 461 comments I like your philosophy, Pirl. It is good that you have very intelligent friends or life can be lonely. I can enjoy all relationships but it is important to have people who are into the abstract. Of course, the thing with being abstract is that we may not all internalize or comprehend in the same way, but it's great trying to get as close as possible to the meeting of the minds. Cheyenne, you are incredible too and if that makes you odd then we need more oddness.

message 209: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) You're using words too complicated and I can't follow those sentences thing close to midnight. I'll reread that another time. Or not. You know.

message 210: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (bkbsmiles) | 461 comments Close to midnight? You must not live in the United States. I love that about the internet! I think when you are rested everything will certainly be as clear as crystal to ya.

message 211: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (bkbsmiles) | 461 comments When I said clear as crystal, it was a metaphor and wasn't talking about our friend Crystal. By the way, I don't see a blog by Crystal. Please let me know if you have one.

message 212: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) Um, yeah. You know, I'm from Israel and all that. Let me quote something I wrote what, less than an hour ago?
"You should hear my grammar in Hebrew."

message 213: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) Barbara wrote: "When I said clear as crystal, it was a metaphor and wasn't talking about our friend Crystal. By the way, I don't see a blog by Crystal. Please let me know if you have one."

Because I didn't see this beforehand: LOL.

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
Oh yeah Barbara she talked about where she was from in one of her posts.

message 215: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) A ha! I'm not insane!

Oh, wait, I'm sad all of a sudden.

message 216: by Cheyenne, HoH & Proud (new)

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
Well that's no good. Listen to upbeat music? Write it out?

message 217: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (bkbsmiles) | 461 comments I've known people who have gone to Israel and others who have dreamed of going. I guess I missed the memo that you were there.

message 218: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) Bar:First thing, that is the sweetest thing anyone's ever said to me!!! Second thing, you should come. It's a beautiful, interesting country, even if you're not religious. I'd give you a tour.... but I'm underage.

Cheyenne: I was joking, you know, I like being insane?

So I recovered from my disease... straight into my final test in math. But I'm OK, so that's all that matters. And the test was OK, except for where I accidently wrote 8 instead of 16...
And that basically concludes the year for me.

message 220: by Cheyenne, HoH & Proud (new)

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
Ahh gotchya. My best friend likes being insane too.

You were sick? I'm glad you recovered.

message 221: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) tnx.

No problem :) Illnesses are NOT fun.

message 223: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) No, they're not. On the brightside, afterwards I also get to makeup school.

I'm not sure if making up school being on the bright side was sarcasm or not. I know when I was out of school for weeks when I had surgeries and then later when I had pneumonia, I absolutely hated making up the school work.

message 226: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) No, it was sarcasm.

message 227: by Cheyenne, HoH & Proud (new)

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
I figured but didn't want to assume. I hope it isn't too much that you have to make up.

message 228: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) Three days.

message 229: by Cheyenne, HoH & Proud (new)

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
Well that's not horrible. Three days is still a pain though. How long do you have to make it up? Three days?

message 230: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (bkbsmiles) | 461 comments I am seeing the post about three days and being a pain and will have to go backwards to see what sense this makes. Right now it is a riddle. But it should be easy enough to solve.

message 231: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (bkbsmiles) | 461 comments 3 days of feeling yucky and sick! It is a good thing that you learn fast and can make it up in no time. Well, I've never even seen the ocean in the USA. Maybe someday I will make it over seas. It sounds amazing!

message 232: by Cheyenne, HoH & Proud (new)

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
What country do you live in Barbara?

message 233: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) Obviously in the USA.
Um, no, I have to make it up before school starts the day I go. But teachers know me(and my geekiness) and tend to let me go if I don't manage to.

I was confused because she said maybe someday she'd make it overseas directly after saying she's never seen the ocean in USA.

message 236: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) Ah.

I'm glad that amuses you. Say, you're fourteen. You should be going into high school pretty soon right?

message 240: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) Tenth grade. I'm finishing eighth.

I can't imagine what it would be like never seeing the ocean. It's just such a strange concept to me, living in California. I haven't been to the ocean a lot, but enough that I don't appreciate it as much as someone who's never been to the ocean probably would. Personally, I hate swimming in the ocean. It's slightly fun swimming out and trying to fight the tide, but then you get shoved under which is scary as heck, or an unexpectedly strong wave knocks you flat on your rear and pushes you so far up the sand that you're sure the skin on your bum is gone. Or you open your mouth and get a tongue full of sickeningly potent salt. And not to mention you've got sand EVERYWHERE for at least five days. I like building sand castles much better.

message 243: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) Haven't been to the beach in years, myself.

message 244: by Cheyenne, HoH & Proud (new)

Cheyenne | 665 comments Mod
I think the last time I went was about a year ago.

message 245: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) Hmm.

message 246: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (bkbsmiles) | 461 comments I would like to see the ocean. I have been to the Sand Dunes off Lake Michigan. You can't see the other side and the sky was so blue... But I've never experienced the tide of an ocean. I don't think I would want to swim in it. Growing up, my dad put a huge sand box in our back yard and would get a ton of sand every year. The neighbor kids like to come and play in it too. Fun times!

I wouldn't know about that.

Five. No more, no less. And Ariel didn't even tell me. I think I'll miss him. More than I thought I would until now.
Emmi. Ofir. Even Tamar. All gone.
-
Just one final test left: The report card itself.
-
20th. I just need to survive till the 20th, then I can finally cry.

message 249: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (bkbsmiles) | 461 comments The 20th! Survival! You better survive! For some, that would be a long stretch without crying. I hope they will be tears of joy or at any rate a good release. A bit cryptic on some of the things or maybe I missed something. I hope Ariel won't be gone for long and that you will be in touch.

message 250: by Pirl (new)

Pirl (pirlismyname) It's cryptic. I was writing down different feelings I've been having about the end of the year. School's end is on the 20th.
