As an author, I am always very curious as to how readers find new books? Do you scour your local bookstore? Do you get recommendations from friends? Are there any book blogs you follow? How much of a roll does Goodreads play in your book-buying decisions?

For me Goodreads plays a huge part, I usually go look at the previous reviews the best and the worst and then combining the two I will decide if I want to give it a shot. Now that I have been writing my own reviews I try not to read too many other reviews and to just go off the synopsis so that I won't go into a book with preconceptions. That's just me though I tend to be a little weird according to my husband! lol Heather-

HA HA, don't feel bad, i am a Sci-Fi writer and my husband is a business man, so to him, I have always been weird. Thats why they love us, right?
lol Yeah! He means the way I read is unlike people I am currently reading 20+ books and I know what is happening in each one with out getting confused, I don't use bookmarks I can either remember the page number or the last paragraph I read for that book, and then I am able to cut myself off from the other reviews kind of "conveniently forgetting" what they wrote (I don't know if that last part made any sense lol)
