I'm still confused as to why the Omega did that to him. I mean by mixing up his magic or DNA or whatever with him like that. He there in made a executioner for his own people. I mean I know the Omega isn't the most "loving" of beings out there. But to my mind I don't get the logic of helping the other side destroy your minions. Anybody else read that differently?
I think that originally if you looked at the prophecy, both the brothers and the Omega had the same one, I think he may have misinterpreted it. I think he was creating Butch that way with the idea that he was to join him with killing the brothers. Maybe? Any other thoughts??

I always thought the Omega did it to turn Butch into some kind of Trojan horse, who would literally poison everything he touched and ultimately betray the Brotherhood. If it weren't for Vishous and the Scribe Virgin's quick thinking, then Butch's rescue would have ended up being an unmitigated disaster.
Marissa stayed in quarantine with Butch during his initial recovery for a damn good reason. She was already being affected by the Omega's poison by the time Vishous had started treating her. The Omega's ego knows no bounds. The monster thought he could corrupt anyone by sole virtue of his power, forgetting that all of his supplicants started out tainted.
It's as the Scribe Virgin said "...trust that the seat of evil is in the soul, not the body."
As Vishous later explained, the Omega couldn't turn Butch evil because he was inherently good. At the end of the day, the Omega was simply outmaneuvered by two people smarter and sneakier than himself.
