SOLVED. YA in multiple POV-possibly about a school shooting at the end. [s]

I cannot remember the book or author of this book I read in middle school. I'm pretty sure it was YA but it could also be classified as juvenile. Althought I remember clearly that the characters were in high school. I remember that the chapters were separated by different POVs, I believe there were four. I remember that one of the girl povs was a half-white, half black girl that was called the "Girl will a permanent tan" and she was discriminated against because her parents are in an interracial relationship. I remember there is a boy character as well who is somewhat of an outcast, he has this gym bag in his locker that he says he'll use if he has to but we never find out what's in it. I just remember he hits another character with it when he's harassing the girl. That's why I think it might be a school shooting or an abusive boyfriend, I just can't really remember. I think the book cover may be blue. I know that it is not Hey Nostradamus or Shooter.
