i loved this book as a kid. it was my fist favorite book as i remember. i really like the chapter (and especially the end) where she and char search for some kind of secret room in the old castle .. and later they dance and slide down a banister ... and when he catches her.. so cute !! and i also liked the letters and the godmother, and the part where she talks to the trolls. and btw, i like this story much more than cinderella, it has a bit more adventure to it i guess..

Favorite Parts:
When they first meet and Char says he knows all about her from his cook.
When they slide down the banister together.
When they write letters to each other and fall in love.
When Ella says she loves the hairs on the knape of his neck as she spies on him at the ball.((I know it's wierd but I could really relate to that! I love every single little thing about my boyfriend :) He's my Char))

so im almost done with the book, im at the part where she is going to mary someone? but right now my rate is 10/10

but its still not my favorite fairytale because my favorite fairytale is so everything (hehe) thats funny

My fav parts are: when when Ella and Char first meet at the furneral, when they slide down the bannister, and when Ella is crying at the ball because she knows she can never marry him even thought she loves him so desparately.
i think it's so cheap though that Ella can read Char journal!!
i looooooooove! char so much, and i wish that real love stories could be could end that sweet!
He stays true, even when he "realizes" that he was pouring his heart out to a schemer.

~ I love both Ella and Char. Ella because she's funny and isn't a victim, despite her curse. Char because he's genuinely kind and really goes out of his way to do things for people. And because he's fiercely loyal to people he cares about. And I love Hattie as a jerk. She's sooo much fun to hate.

~ I absolutely love the part where they slide down banisters, and I love the part where Ella writes "The Letter" - I cry every time, even though I know how it ends! And then, of course, I love the ending.

Once I wrote my best friend Lizzie's brother Luke a email in the format of Facebook and signed it with: love, love, love Anna...I was such a Ella Enchanted freak back then that he never answered. I couldn't blame him for that though!!

On the book: I loved it but I loved the movie even more than I did with the book..it was like a fairy tale come true.

i love this book! favourite character couldnt be anyone but char surely? every part is awesome and so sweet. i might have to read it again it is so good.
DO NOT watch the film, its really cheesy and bad, it includes like 1/79 of what happens in the book and creates a whole new story with the name. Argggrrrg.

Ella Enchanted is a good fan-fic derived from the original classic Cinderella story, I love the parts where Ella and Char have those funny conversations.

This book was my favorite until I found Pride and Prejudice. :) Now it is my second favorite. :)

I would have to say my favorite character is Ella. She is so funny, smart, and genuine.

My favorite part would have to be the end (SPOILERS!) when Char comes to find Ella after the ball and everything that follows. I also loved Ella's and Char's conversations and letters. His love letter. . . *sigh* :)

The movie was simply a disaster.

I like Arieda, and of course Ella. and my favorite part is when she has to pretend to be hattie in her letter, (sad i know, but a great part.) and the balls.

Oh yeah, my favorite part was definitely when she stole Hattie's wig! But her breaking the curse was also THE greatest plot twist in the book!! Another great Cinderella twist on things would be Just Ella by Margaret Peter Haddix. Awesome book!

I love this book so much, I couldn't rest until I owned a copy! Gail Carson Levine is such a magnificent writer that her books captivate you in the most delightful manner.

My favorite character is Ella. ( Who else?)
I love the scene when Ella and Char are sliding down the banisters and he catches her at the bottom. But I say that I love the end when she accepts his proposal and they live happily ever after.
