Merging lists?

When you click on "create a list", one of the bullet points on the side is "If a "Best Fantasy Books" list already exists - no need to create another - it will be merged eventually anyways."

Can Librarians merge lists? If so, how?
If not, who does this?

There is currently no way to do so, except manually by our developers. They have done so with some of the more egregious ones a time or two.

Is it possible to request that two lists be merged?
