Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments Where do we stand on hyperlinking to all bookselling sites in the book description?

I don't think it is acceptable but since GR Author thought I would hightlight prior to contacting him and then removing

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/96...

This is not the only one done -

He is also adding reviews

No reviews, no links to bookseller sites in the description field.

Unless it's the publisher. Some publishers are sellers themselves. Dreamspinner Press, Silver Publishing, Siren Publishing/Bookstrand are some examples. The only exception would be if the publisher is Amazon or its subsidiaries such as CreateSpace.

Am I correct, rivka?

Those might go in the URL field, if and only if they have additional information about the book, such as an excerpt.

But why would they go in the description field?

That's what I thought but wanted to double check, I have messaged the author and explained the info will be removed and provided idea's for what he can do

Experiment BL626 | 358 comments I mean for the 'official URL' field. =P

Ok. But that's not what was under discussion.
