Tammy ~Witching Hour Reads~ (03tammy-lynn) | 327 comments I have wanted to read it for awhile, but never got around to it, but it is a group read in one of the groups on GR, so I thought it was the perfect time to read it!

Have you heard about Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev Eyes Like Stars (Théâtre Illuminata, #1) by Lisa Mantchev ?

message 7: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Greenhalgh (stfany2002) | 53 comments I am reading The Song of Ice and Fire Series. I'm still on the first book, which is The Game of Thrones (also and HBO series). It's not really paranormal/horror more fantasy with a touch of mysticism...kings, queens, knights, lords and ladies then throw in some zombie-like walking dead creatures and a dragon or two. It is FANTASTIC!

I am so glad you are enjoying it! It is one of my all time favorites! I don't know what I will do when I don't have a new Sookie book to look forward to:-( You have inspired me to revisist the last few in the series to prepare for the newest on in May! :-)

Abby I'm on Ch 10 of The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins ... After all the fuss on here, TV, Twitter and everywhere else, I decided to give it a shot even if I don't like the idea of kids killing other kids...

That is great Stephanie :), I just finish the last book I own and I feel kinda sad. I want Victor to die! Alcide is a little all over the place and his taste in women...well haha. Was kind sad and dissapointed in how sookie dumped the weretiger Quinn. Need to buy dead reckoning and then I will be happy.

@Maddie, let me know what you think of hunger games it is on my to read pile :)

message 11: by Abby (new)

Abby @Rebecca I LOVED The Hunger Games!! I'm about 75% done with the second book now... Very good reads

I never cared much for Quinn. If I were Sookie, I don't think I'd be able to resist Alcide, although I'm ultimately hoping for Sookie and Bill to get back together.

Tammy ~Witching Hour Reads~ (03tammy-lynn) | 327 comments I just finished Dark Souls by Paula Morris & Bewitching by Alex Flinn , and I just started Once a Witch (Witch, #1) by Carolyn MacCullough

I will give it to Bill that he really would do anything for Sookie but I think he is a little bit about the big gestures and misses some of the little things that she needs...like the driveway, coat etc.
I love Alcide in book 3 omg I was hoping beyond hope they would be together hehe. I can't wait for season 5 to come out on tv :D

How doo you like it? I read the first 5 and have the sixth one on my book shelf. I read 1-4 quickyly, but found five tougher to get thru. I love the premise and her use of the term 'asshats', but I got lost in all the ghosts, werewolves, vampires, humans, etc...
I was looking for a replacement for Sook and this wasn't it, but it does have some amusing moments:-)

I am on book two and it is ok, not my fave series but it has some laugh out loud moments. Sometimes though it is just a bit annoying. Feels like it is rushed in some parts and than it seems to go really slow in other areas. Overall not a bad quicky read :D

Hi Callie Have been looking through to see what you might like: you've got some interesting books on your to read list. Message me if you want to discuss them. I don't want to clutter up this thread.

@Anna did you decide which book you are reading. I want to read Divergent but haven't had a chance. Maybe I should move it up to the top of my list. If you read it let me know what you think.

I'm currently reading two books The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (Millennium, #3) by Stieg Larsson

and Dark Light Anthology by S.J. Davis The latter I have a short story in and since it's an anthology it's easy to read one and then go back in a few days and read the next.

I loved it. I thought it was classic King. Imaginative, a little over the top, but a great ride nonetheless.
