Lana Del Rey is my current book listening music.
However I usually like dark music when I am reading, probably because I prefer to read darker themed books. So NIN, but also moods music like Grizzly Bear or Muse. Smashing pumpkins album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness always reminds me of Stephen Kings It. I always have music on when I am reading:-)

Sometimes I'll be listening to a song and it will remind me of a book :o)

I almost always have music on. In the car, on the train / bus, at my desk when I'm working / writing, cooking, cleaning... all the time really :-)

That is exactly how I am, if I hear music I will start singing along!
I can tune out video games, t.v., and people talking but I can't tune out music while I read.
Sometimes after reading a good book I will want to listen to a certain song because it reminds me of the book but that is the only time music and books mix for me.
Ok I've been thinking about this (LOL)
When I hear Examples - skies Dont Lie, I think of Raphael and Elena from
And Kate B's - Perfect stranger, reminds me of

@ Jessica, I love Evanescence i'm listening to them at mo. Im reading the Black Dagger brotherhood series and they go very well together. ;o)

I sometimes listen to music afterwards and a certain song might remind me of a character or story in my book.

For example: "You make me want to die" by The Pretty Reckless makes me think of Conrad Wroth from the IAD series. http://youtu.be/dYeGw-bo430
"Big Bad Handsome Man" by Imelda May makes me think of Eric Northman from True Blood and the Sookie Stackhouse series. http://youtu.be/I2YkUtqvYig

But the song 'Angel with a shotgun' by The Cab reminds me of Patch from Hush,Hush

In the same way as a lot of authors list their playlists (that they used while they were writing), does anyone have any tracks / album that they now associate with reading a book / books?
I'll start the ball rolling. I was listening to Slash's last album when I first read JR Ward's Covet. So now whenever I hear Slash & Chris Cornell's Promise, that's what I think of :-)
