Never Again

If i remember right (IDK exact numbers but it made me mad!), she believes 70 and 40 equal 100. -_-"
I would accept hard math, but THOSE!

the MOST it could be is 100%...
God, I wanted to hit her SO bad. It was HILARIOUS at the time though because it was a "serious" matter at the time.
Yeah, like somebody saying something, and you laugh because you think it's a joke, but then it turns out to be serious... So awko ;b

I loved Condie's society that she set up, but I hated all of her characters. The stupid part is about Ky teaching Cassia to write - maybe she never tried, but if she can read, she can copy the letters to write. Unless she's a total idiot.
Oh yeah, and I hated all of her characters. Except Xander. He was the only one that I liked.

I WANT TO READ THAT BOOK!
Why?
You can only destroy something and make fun of it, if you know it.
I make fun of it all the time, but then I could make sure my jokes have a little sting of truth in them. :D

Bella: Oh Edward! Why did you leave? Now I'm left with jacob who obviously would be so much better for me, but I'm too ..."
Exactly! It was so predictable too! As if we didn't know who she would choose. *rolls eyes*
And the big secret about Jacob... hello? I guessed that in book one!
And really, hopw stupid can you be? "Because I miss Edward so much, I'm jumping off a cliff. Er, just for fun though, so don't worry! A storm? Huh, I'll jump nonetheless."
And later. "I had just thought about the height, but not about the water...!"
Duh. *facepalm*
I especially disliked the fourth book. It's just so... I'm at a loss of words, actually. Not a good sign for the book.

Yeah. Same here. I liked Xavier, he was the only character in the book I cared about. For all I care Ky could get shipped back to wherever.

I hated how depressed Bella was, it just made me depressed the whole time. I was just like, really? You need him SO MUCH that you're going to risk your life in stupid situations so that way you can see an IMAGINARY Edward? Really? Why didn't she get a hobby, maybe bake some cookies in the shape of Chewbacca or something, seriously. Life isn't based upon a single being, who'd she'd known for... how long?
I never understood why a smart, gorgeous, undead guy like Edward would go for an utterly and dully normal girl like Bella. I know I know, love is blind, but all of us know that isn't true. I understand the interest, as he can't read her thoughts, but other than that, what really is there? Did they have things in common? I don't even know!

I know, I was laughing so hard. I really liked the description in the books though, that was one thing I admired. And for some reasons, though I don't remember why, I ended up really liking Eclipse. I read it twice.
I didn't really like him at all in the last book. I found myself trying to quickly skim his parts, I wanted to read Bella's POV much more.

...actually I hoped that Charlie would shoot Edward in the beginning. Even if it hadn't hurt him, Charlie might have had something against his daughter marrying a vampire...

Hello? It would matter to me if my boyfriend was a freakin vampire! He could kill you, you know?
*rolls eyes*
And I really don't understand why literally every boy in the book had a crush on her. I mean every boy, did you notice? Are there no other girls in Forks or what?
The thing that really bothered me about Bella Swan wasn't her lack of personality as much as it was how whiny and pathetic she is. She reminded me of most the girls in my high-school 'Love is the only thing that matters. I'm unconditionally in love with this sexy person I know virtually nothing about'. If you ask me, Edward wasn't displaying protective behavior over her- more like rapist behavior. Following her, trying to read her mind, sneaking into her bedroom at night. the whole thing creeped me out.

You're right, he's like a creepy, pedophilic vampire-stalker...

it's also sad that now you tell someone you want to write a supernatural story and they think twilight... plus every vampire book out is too similar to ... No I refuse to write the name again..
OH and I bought hunger games Book 1 and freaking Stephanie Meyer is quoted on the back, I almost put the book back.:/
Not to mention the fact that she just automatically accepts the whole vampire thing. If you found out some dude was a vampire, pretty sure you'd run away, not mash your face against his and make out with him.

I despise everything about this book. The grammar, lack of conventions, the whole idea....Yeah.

See, the thing is, I loved Condie's society that she set up. I think that she really could've gotten far with that - I loved the Matching banquet or whatever it was called, everything.
However, the part that I didn't like was Cassia. God, I hate Cassia. She is seriously the second most irritating main character in a book I've read, Bella from Twilight being the first. Her character is so incredibly unrealistic. She's a Mary Sue. It's as simple as that. And one person overthrowing the government? Ha. Ha. Ha. I don't think so. The only reason that Harry Potter was so big and famous was because he was famous for surviving the Killing Curse. The only reason Katniss Everdeen was able to overthrow Snow was because she was on public television and it was a rebellion just waiting to happen. And she had help. One stupid, lovesick sixteen-year-old (she's sixteen, right?) is not going to be able to overthrow the government, Condie. Maybe if she was the daughter of some government official way high up, but really. And God. The end. I hated the end with the passion of a thousand burning suns. She is putting herself, her family, Xander, and Xander's family all in jeopardy by going out because she is a lovesick teenager, and this kind of thing never realistically going to work out. And her stupid parents - realistically, most parents would not let their child do that. And people are like, "Oh, Cassia's so brave!" Um, no. Cassia is selfish. Cassia is stupid. She is so completely self-centered that she doesn't care about the protection of those she claims to love. That is the biggest reason why I hate Cassia.
Following the society against your personal wishes isn't cowardice. I think it's brave.

Wow. Those are a lot of reasons. Seems like the book had a lot of potential that it just didn't fill, am I right?
Yeah. And by the end there's only one character I didn't hate.

......
No. I couldn't ever keep reading. There was a part of my that screamed "STOP IT, THIS IS KILLING ME." I try to read them again and again at time to time. I somehow never like what everyone likes. And here's the part you all will hate me for.

For these books I kept getting distracted even if I was alone in a quiet house. I could never get lost in the words, even though they are best-sellers.
... Oh dear, someone help.
I really want to read the Lightning Thief series. I read into the first book but only around 60 pages or so.

I'll make a small list, lol. My librarian asked me to read it. I kept reading it though, just because I laughed so hard at how serious they tried to make it while still being YA.
-The characters DO NOT act in a normal way... EVER.
-Their talking is reminiscent to "If I Stay" (different book I didn't like) where the dialogue is forced and stilted and weird-sounding. They also used exclamation points WAAAAY too often when she talked so she sounded like a ten-year old, not a sixteen-year old.
-The plot was used and done with.
"I'm a normal girl.
Wait, I'm not?
OMG! GOVERNMENT HATES ME! WHY!?!?
Only one thing to do... RUN!"
-SHE NEEDS AN EDITOR! There were MANY grammatical errors, cramped plot, and inaccuracies.
-SPOILER ALERT ABOUT BOOK! (view spoiler)[ APparently, in AMerica, if you are told something by a politician, you automatically agree with it and believe it. Apparently, people will turn against neighbors because a list (with no proof mind you!) is released. THIS ALL HAPPENS IN A FEW WEEKS! NOT YEARS! WEEKS! (hide spoiler)]
It had the chance to be a GREAT book, like Hunger Games good, but it let me down hardcore. IDK if I can trust her again for her second book in the series.
