I first posted about this movie before its release in this thread: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/2... (my comments are gone because my profile was recently deleted/restored for some reason) but finally watched it last night.
What a gem! I can't believe this one didn't receive wider attention. I knew I was going to love it the second the characters in the first scene realized immediately that they were dealing with zombies, instead of the usual batch of morons in zombie films who slowly, slowly come to realize that the dead are walking and their only drive is to eat your flesh.
As evidenced in the title, tits and ass abound; however, I applied a feminist criticism to this one. The formerly living strippers, who have been "meat" for the ravenous male gaze, turn that around and use the male patrons of their club as "meat" once the zombie virus takes hold.
There are plenty of subtle and not-so-subtle jokes about the Bush administration and varying schools of thought in philosophy. (Best: Zombie Jenna Jameson reading Nietzsche and saying to herself, "This makes so much more sense now!")
Robert Englund has a great role as the sleazy, misogynist club owner. Couple of nice zombie gore scenes that were pretty original (there are only so many ways a zombie can rip your flesh apart, one supposes).
I thought it was going to be horrible but it was a zombie movie so I watched it. It was awesome! Some cheesy dialogue that makes you role your eyes but pretty descent. It is on my "it's actually okay to own" zombie movie list.
