it starts off, with the heroin talking about a gorgous man that plays a main role in her erotic dreams. the man also has dreams about her. but he is decsended from the mayans, and there was this battle that wiped out most of his people and he is there leader. he works with his protector and his protectors son, at a plant shop that they own, and then the girl from his dreams walks in.

later on she is captured by the evil that killed his people years before and he rescues her, but shes dying and to use his healing abilities, he must have sex with her, so they do.

the evil is comming back to take over the world, fufilling an ancient proficy and he must gather what is left of his people and train them to use their abilities so they can fight evil.

the protectors son is pyrokenetik and the hero has a married sister.

Radreamfarm | 9 comments Can someone help me with the title to a book I read. I can't remember too much (I thought it might have been Pride Mates by Jennifer Ashley, but it wasn't). The guy was a shifter and thought the girl was just a normal human (Chinese, maybe?)...Until closer to the end of the book when she takes him to meet her family. Her Grandma is the head of the family, and I think they were tigers. The one scene I remember well Is that they had gone out by a lake and were attacked by another group of WereWolves.
Sorry that I am so vague on the deets!

I'm not sure, but this could be Tempting Danger (World of the Lupi, #1) by Eileen Wilks . Some of the details fit, I just can't remember if there was a scene at a lake...

Radreamfarm | 9 comments Well, close but that wasn't it.So glad that Cmkage gave me a starting point, I don't think I would have found it otherwise...I think it may have been the novella Eileen Wilks wrote that inspired "Tempting Danger". I found this about it....

Eileen's story in the Lover Beware anthology is entitled Only Human. In it Lily is a Chinese-American detective working with the city of San Diego on a murder that appears to be the work of a werewolf. But, if she wants to find out who the killer is, she'll have to get inside the clans. She enlists the help of a were named Rule, though she detests his species. Will her prejudices hold up under the heat of passion?

I never read that novella, but as far as I know, Wilkes completely rewrote it for the first World of the Lupi book. If you haven't read the series, I highly recommend it. It's one of my favorites.

Radreamfarm | 9 comments I bought "Tempting Danger" from my Kobo account. I liked "Only Human" better in the style it was written, but "TD" was more in depth - and better - about Chosen. I will definately be reading more. I can't wait to read the next one...What happened that Lily was out cold in the bathroom??? Can't wait to find out.

All that stuff about the Chosen was one of the things I liked most about this series.

Radreamfarm | 9 comments Thank You for helping me find that book. Can you help me with another??

It starts with some background...How a princess came to this country to be married. She brought with her treasure, and her personal guards. When the country was in trouble of being taken over, the ruler hid the treasure.
The story begins with the daughter, who upon her mothers death becomes the foreign country's princess and inherits the personal guards. There was 2 men that wanted to marry her, and to save her from them her father promised her to an elderly gentleman in the Highlands. The 2 men came up with evil plans to get her. The one man came up with a plan to get her father sent back to his country and then killed the elderly gent, saying he speaked for the king that he would marry her. The other mans plan was to have her reputation ruined so that nobody else would have her.
On her way to meet the groom she saw a man being buried alive \ shot and saved him. She and her guards took him to a convent to recover. When he recovered enough he was returned to his older brother.
When the 2 mens plot came into effect, her only chance was to get sanctuary from a distant relative, who didn't feel strong enough to save her - so he sent her to the older Highlander brother (who didn't know it was her that saved his brother).
In the end they fall in love, he finds out it was her, and they lie about being married to prevent the other guys from taking her away.
