3 kindles, never any other problems except occasional freeze-ups which always responded to a hard reset.
Maybe you're just unlucky :(

This happened just today. My Kindle froze on the screensaver and when I flick the switch to wake it up, it doesn't change or the green light doesn't go on.
What do I do?
What do I do?

Yep. Nothing happens. Panicking now. I had 119 books on it. I'll try it again...hold on...

Nope. Can I get it repaired somehow?
Does this freezing thing happen to everyone?

Ok, thanks Gill :D
Ok, thanks Gill :D

This won't fix your Kindle but how about downloading the Kindle for PC App and reading on your computer? You can access your books through Amazon's "Manage My Kindle". Just download them to the Kindle App on your computer.

And yes, I have one of those original Amazon leather covers (no light) but have never had an real problems previously.

I hope it clears up for you. In the mean time you could finish your book on the cloud.

I just tried to open a PDF in my library in the cloud and couldn't so I guess the answer to your question is no. I hope your Kindle is up and working well. Sometimes plugging it into the USB charger and the wall corrects problems. Good luck.
P.s. I know how the auto complete makes up its own words. Sometimes it can be embarrassing.
The Kindle cloud reader is for mobi/azw files. Virtually every computer can open a PDF file natively so there's no point in making the cloud reader read them. Especially since most major browsers can read them too.

Help! :(

I do recommend you contact custmer service. They are great & will help walk you through whatever needs to be done.
