Sowmya- It happens to me too, but a piece of advise- you shouldn't use a pillow as a buffer. Soft surfaces tend to clog up the fans which lead to overheating and can burn up you laptop. Use a hard book or those special lap pillows with the hard surface. Your laptop will thank you. :-)

Yes it did black out a couple of times and I was forced to let it 'cool down'.
Now a days I use a book between the pillow and the laptop.
