I saw this book at the book store one day, bought it, started reading it, and I could hardly put it down before I finished it. :D

Going into this, I really didn't think I would like a book about deer. But, I was completely baffled by the genius of the writing, and how fantastically the book is put together, and how much I love the characters, and how perfect it was tat it was about deer.

David Clement-Davies gets major points in my book for originality. Animal fantasy books about wolves and cats are a dime a dozen, but Fire Bringer and Bambi are the only two animal fantasies I can think of in which the main characters are deer.

Bambi is a superb book, by the way. One of my all-time favorites.
