The First and Last are my newest ones, the ones in the middle were some of my more early ones. As you can see I improved in my character creation.
I think you're good at planning even all the intricate details. I love how you give a basic rundown of the facts and then a concise bio. It's almost like its a security file on the person.
This week's challenge:
Describe a setting starting with the words: "The ____ was a _____...." and go from there. Make it about a paragraph long.

The sky was a peach. A ripe one. Fresh off the tree, just like Dozer liked them. With the sun sinking steadily, the night cooled rapidly so that he was forced to button his jacket. Every blade of grass was dry underneath his Vans, like they'd all been scorched to death- further convincing Dozer that this place was Hell itself.

The knock woke her up. It was loud and violent, and the first thing she did was look at the alarm clock and see she was late.
She cursed, hoping her dad, who was the person behind the knock, didn't hear that part, and called out, "It's OK, I'm awake."
Once he left she went back to sleep.
The atmosphere was a crisp gloom, the melancholy gray clouds softly weeping a light mist. The world around her was painted in shades of mellow, a pleasant aroma of unsettled earth floating about the air. She was laid on her back, letting the rain soak through her, the pure water gently washing away her worries. She was a child of a nature, falling asleep to the lullaby of water dripping through trees, her skin covered in goosebumps and cool to the touch. Droplets clung to her thick lashes, ran through her scalp, and tickled her nose. This, there was nothing better than this.

It was a chocolate cake with a whipped coffee mousse filling with chocolate ganache melted and hardened on the top. A white chocolate decorator's frosting spelt out "Happy Birthday!" on the top. Red ripe raspberries were spread around the edge of the cake, giving color to the otherwise gloomy decour of the cake.
But the cake was a lie. It wasn't for you. And Gladys would do anything to stop you from trying it. Anything.

Thank you very much!! :)

I LOVE GLADYS! She is easily my favorite character from a video game EVER!
"Remember when I tried to kill you? Yeah, that was funny."

THAT'S AWESOME!
I was singing the Portal 2 song while I walked into town today. ^_^
"Remember when you tried to kill me twice?
Oh how we laughed and laughed...
except I wasn't laughing."
Oh snap, this is going to be AWESOME! I just have to catch up with the rest of the group and this other group really quickly before I delve (hehe, love that word) into this.
Dibs Sonja Pirovac from Evil Genius. Wait, crap I can't do that, because it'll ruin the book for some people. Hmm...

"Don't worry. There will be a celebration. With cake. And friends. But you have no friends. Because you're unlikeable and bitter and rude. It says so right in your file. You will die alone. If it makes you feel better, I'll still be here. I can't die.
"Do you know what you've done? Great! Now you've broken my catalytic disruptor. It made blankets for the homeless. Way. To. Go. You know what else it did. It was installed to stop me from firing this laser at the scientists after I kept burning them alive. Please wait right where you are standing while I warm it up for you. It also stopped me from setting fires in churches and fireworks in daycares. You just killed a small child. How do you feel? You know what else. We ate the cake. Without you. And we took your puppy. And put it in the church that burned. How do you feel now? Your theoretical puppy is ashes now. Laser ready. Bye."
I think I might be writing from the perspective of Kiki, from Kiki's Delivery Service... Oh, or Sophie, from Howl's Moving Castle!!!

Haha no, its fine. I like it :)

The sunlight streaking through the trees was the only source of light in this forest, lighting up a mottled path as Epona plodded along, crunching through the leaves. I swung my legs in a slow, continuous motion, tired after three days travel. A shield emblazoned with the Hyrule symbol hung over one shoulder, while the sheath to my sword gently swayed.
It came sudden. Awfully sudden. First, a streak of white. Then purple.
Bewilderment being my first reaction, naturally, I searched the area cautiously, my eyes landing on a smallish figure between the trees.
That was the first time I'd ever see Skull Kid.
The blobs of light- whatever they were- had startled Epona. She reared. A loud whinny of dismay echoed through the trees and I was bucked backwards, landing hard on my back, the breath completely knocked out of me.
When I opened my eyes, that Skull Kid- dressed in carnival garb and wearing the strangest mask I'd ever seen- he raced off in a gallop- but not before giving me a strange look.
Not before paralyzing me with some intangible fear... what was that thing?

I sighed my sigh, which had become a lot raspier with old age. I wondered if people who aged naturally noticed such differences, or if it was just as strange to them as it was to me. Well, I couldn't really compare myself to others. I'd hadn't aged slowly to become the old woman that I am today. The curse did it to me over night, no, over a matter of mere seconds. That damned Witch of the Waste, I'd get her for turning my bones brittle, my skin wrinkly before its time.
A small complaint muttered from Markl's mouth brought me out of my own head. I ignored him as he told me that he hated fish while I handed the money to the shop keeper, who wrapped the meat and placed it in my basket with a polite "Have a nice day ma'am." Ma'am, how funny, I'd always been called Miss before. But, that was before my hair had turned an elderly white after the flick of that fat woman's wrist.
As I began walking back to Master Jenkin's house of sorcery, I couldn't help but grumble mentally as Markl gripped at the side of my dress, causing strain on my old back. I couldn't comment on it though, I loved that little boy. So, instead, I simple adjusted my cane, and kept walking, my tired eyes keeping ahead of me, catching the flicker of black and purple in the corner of my vision.
Those blob men never could leave us alone; I never did understand why nobody else could see them. Still, Howl wouldn't be happy to hear about this. Or would he? I could never tell, his optimism was never failing. Well, as long as I didn't accidentally mess up his hair color.

I threw him, I threw Derek away from me and he sank into the never ending water. I swam with all the strength I had left, which wasn't a lot being in the water kicking and holding someone who was about one hundred and fifty pounds for an hour. My watery hand grabbed the phone, clutching it to my ear and pushing away from the wall where the monster hissed at me. With wide eyes I tapped buttons. "I'm busy right now!" The low voice of Scott said. He hung up.
I didn't really care about the phone at this point, I let it slip from my fingertips as I dove into the water to get Derek. The only person who would be able to get me out of here alive. He was sitting at the water, breathing out bubbles. His eyes stayed at me, he was angry. I grabbed his body quickly, pushing off the bottom. The second we burst through the surface we both in unison let out a loud greedily gasp for air to fill our lungs. My eyes couldn't find the kanima.

Never heard of it, but I still love it;0

I kind of just created that so that Ri would tell me about hers.
