HUNGER GAMES, ALL THE WAY! I liked Mortal Instruments, but I don't seem to have the same love for Cassandra Clare's books as a lot of others do. I have Clockwork Angel and Clockwork Prince, and I'm FORCING my way sometimes through the boring parts. BUT I DO LIKE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS AND THE CLOCKORK SERIES,just not as much
I haven't read Mortal Instruments yet so I'll say The Hunger Games. When I've read Mortal Instruments I'll come back and say which is the best, in my opinion XD
I'm gonna have to say The hunger Games, only because I haven't read The Mortal Instruments. Yet. But when I do, I will share which I like better more.
The Hunger Games, hands down. Mortal Instruments is just a guilty pleasure for me and having recently reread the 1st I can't be sure it's even that anymore. We'll see how I feel about the latest one which I'll read after Saphique.
Clare's writing simply doesn't hold a candle to most of the other books I like; it's disorganized and flimsy in its reasoning and every single character has the same voice and vernacular. The Clockwork books are MUCH better in my opinion and City of Glass was quite good indeed I suppose but definitely nowhere near the calibre of the Hunger Games.
PS Dystopian is the antonymn of Utopian. By definition it's the oposite of Paradise however in practical use in Sci Fi it typically just means a futuristic society where something went wrong, typically to do with government opression or an apocolypic setting (after a war or something)

THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!! I adore The Mortal Instruments and for me they will always be much better than The Hunger Games. TMI UNTIL THE END!!!
