I finished the book last night and enjoyed it. I gave it 4 stars (from me, that's a top rating for cozies). I'll wait to say more until a few more of you have read it, too.

I started reading it last night. I'm enjoying it so far. I really like Charlie, Diesel, and Melba...she's a hoot! :)

I started Murder Past Due yesterday and really like it - more than I expected to. Still in the early chapters, no dead body yet.

I just finished the first Cat in the Stacks mystery and liked it. I was sure I knew who the murderer was but it was a red herring and I was wrong. Good story. Like the characters including the cat. It does seem like it could have been shorter. I figured out one key element that wasn't revealed until about 100 pages later.

I read this one when it first came out. One of the things that I liked most about this book was that the main character was a man. More often it is a woman so this was a pleasant change. Have also read the second one. The third and newest is on my shelf to read.

I just finished the third in the series. I've found they get better and better with each new book that comes out. The second and third ones definitely held my interest more than the first one. The descriptions of Diesel, the Maine Coon cat sound so realistic. I want a Maine Coon for my next cat.

Finished it last night...not bad. It was a little drawn out...loved Diesel!!! The killer was not who I expected, I will say that. Not sure if I'll read the rest in the series. :o)

I just bought Murder Past Due this evening and I am going to read it tonight. I've been wanting to read this series for some time now, so I am excited to be a part of this bookclub and to read the first book of the series.

I just finished File M for Murder , the third in this series. This series keeps getting better and better. Gotta love Diesel.

I liked this book and was surprised by the ending. I don't think I liked it enough to read the rest of the series though.

Finished Murder Past Due today..I loved it..it's the first cozy for me that had a man as the man character..I enjoyed that although I was skeptical at first..I will definitely read more of this series..love Diesel!!

I just finished Murder Past Due this evening and I really liked it. I liked the main character, Charlie Harris, as well as his affectionate cat, Diesel. I plan on reading the next book in this series. []

I finished (book #2) and enjoyed it quite a bit. At lunch-time I went out and bought book #3, . This is an enjoyable cozy series. Charlie and Diesel are the kind of characters I would enjoy as friends.

I just finished the book. It seemed to take me forever. I had some trouble getting through it. I liked the characters but I knew who the killer was from the beginning. I really like the cat and the fact that the main character is a man. I am not sure if I will read any more of this series but I have been told the books get better.

I thought I had posted my final thoughts on this book, but it must have been another one. I still think the book was too long. I liked the book ok, and I'm glad I gave it a try, but it didn't grab me. I probably won't read another one because I have too many other books waiting.

Having a huge tbr pile does detour me from reading this series further too. My son read them and said they were a lot better than this one but I have other books I would rather read.

I just started this book. It's good, but I used to have a cat named Diesel so the book is making me a little sad. :(

I'm behind on my reading for the monthly books. Just barely finished this one and was pleasantly surprised. After reading some of the other comments I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did.

I liked Charley and Diesel and will definitely read the next one in the series.

Just finished Classified as Murder..I enjoyed it every bit as much as the first..loved meeting a new character who sounds like he will be staying around a while ..although I will say I did have this one figured out rather quickly ..but still enjoyed it:)

I am about 70 pages into . There's been no murder yet, but I already think I know who will do it when it finally happens! LOL! We'll see if I'm right! This one has been a slow start for me. Hopefully it picks up soon!!

I finished ! (view spoiler)[I was wrong with my 1st choice of who I thought the murderer was. I really thought it was Eloise. And then it was obvious that it wasn't! Anyway, not a great shock at the end. (hide spoiler)]

Overall, I don't know how to feel about these books. I think they are OK stories. To be totally honest though the main character, Charlie, kind of gets on my nerves. He's a little whiny and judgemental! I love Diesel, but is it really appropriate to take him almost everywhere?

I'm not sure is I'm going to be continuing with this series.

I picked up one of this series off the library's sale shelf. I can't wait to read it. The adult summer reading program begins on Monday, so this book will be one of my five prize entries.

I just finished #3 in this series and I find the series is very enjoyable. I especially like that it is in the more traditional style of cozy writing rather than the cozy-fluff that seems to be taking over the stores lately.
