In Delirium, Oliver kind of, for lack of a better word, rushed Alex's and Lena's love into the story. The notes and the messages aside, when they started to meet with each other, I feel Lena was only with Alex because it reckless and she started to like the idea of being rebellious. You can't be dead for six months and then pop back into her life like that, and then be harsh. Ugh ugh ugh, too many feels.

Im on julian side!
After Pandemonium I was on Julian side, but after reading requiem and short story Alex, i'm kinda more for Lena and Alex together. But I still love Julian.

Alex, coz I think, he will do anything for Lena.
All the while I was reading 'Pandemonium' I just knew Alex was going to come back and that was what made me want to scream at Lena for falling for Julian. Alex was the reason why Lena stopped looking at love as a disease in the first place, I mean he almost gave up his life to save her. Julian, on the other hand is likeable but definitely not as charismatic as Alex. I am definitely Team ALEX.

Omg, Alex is just too damn lovable. I choose Alex. I was thinking about him the whole time I was reading Pandemonium. I was scowling whenever Julian and Lena had their moments. Lol. I mean, Julian is alright. I actually liked their whole 'promise me' scene. UNTIL Alex showed up! Lol.
Liked them both in Pandemonium, HATE THEM BOTH in Requiem. No spoilers but Alex is really mean to Lena and Julian is super cocky and tries too hard to impress Lena. So neither please.
Alex before she escaped. He seemed to push Lena away and be all tough afterwards.
Julian. I feel like he and Lena had a lot more development of their relationship than Lena and Alex did. With Alex it felt mostly like infatuation, like the adrenaline-rush feeling of first love.
Besides, Alex has been through a lot and is no state to be in a relationship with anybody until he works out his own issues.

Alex!Lena didnt need Julian tbh. I think she got weak and felt insecure so she would've gotten any attention thrown her way so basically for me she was needy and felt attracted towards julian because she needed and wanted protection...
But Alex was the one who fought for her, who risked his own life for hers and made her feel special in the first place.So for me DEFINITELY ALEX

Definitely Alex. He's perfect. Julian is too dependent on Lena, its just not right to me.
ok it is alex no competition come on the other guys name is Julian! also i found he somehow was always there to take advantage of lena so he would seem like the good guy

I feel alone on this stance, but I gotta say Julian! Yeah, I know that Alex is the one that Lena has been PINING for throughout most of the book but Julian was there for her! I, personally, found his inexperience and awkwardness as cute and charming. Can'y blame him for not knowing much... Alex, on the other hand, turned so cold. (Sorry, guys! I read part of Requiem) Alex DOES have the right to be angry (with Lena making out with Julian and whatnot), but Lena thought he was DEAD. It's not like she could've gone her whole life dwelling on him. Julian just seems like the better choice...

Alex Alex Alex Alex, I couldn't even believe that Lena would fall for Julian in the first place when she should have been looking for Alex.Of course Lena and Julian both need comfort but you can't possibly build a relationship on comfort only.
I totally understand that Alex is mad for her changing boyfriend so easily.
Every time there was a seen with Julian and Lena getting closer I wanted her to wake up and to shake her and say "Hey go look for Alex, what the hell are you doing."
In the last scene Alex is terrific!

Team Julian!!!!!! I think that he fits the "new" Lena better; she has sharper edges than she did in Delirium and I think that Julian's sweet and innocent demeanor balance that out.
I like Alex but Julian is so cute, I have a conflict :| is so difficult to decide o.o
I was reading through the comments and I saw that someone said Julian doesn't know how to love. That, my friend, is simply because he hadn't been exposed to those ideas and honestly was brain washed into thinking it was bad and a type of sickness. Even though he was the leader of the youth group section of the DFA it was because of not being exposed to real life and with that comes love, he was also sort of forced to follow in his father's footsteps. Yes, he didn't know what love was personally, but through the time he spent with Lena he learned about himself and the possibilities that come with growing up and becoming a man. He could have returned to the Deliria free society and he would have been more then welcome to show the country how the sickness effects its youth. Now as far as Alex, I loved him too. From the very beginning I was rooting for him. He seemed nice, handsome, collected, smart, wild, and truly in love with Lena. So yes, I did absolutely love him and I hoped they would live happily ever after. But with that being said he seems really mean now. Yes, he was in jail for like six months because of helping her escape, and Lena should have looked for him, but she was almost over him in that way (being in love) when he came back. And then he didn't even try to communicate to her about how he felt. He just dropped a bomb and ran. Sorry Alex but that is the truth. Over the six months he changed into someone much harder, granted, and angry. The theme of these books is to move on from your past and to not let it hold you down. With all that being said I am rooting for Julian currently. I applause you if you have made it to the end of my very lengthy debate about a fictional book with fictional characters. And I also applause the person who started this discussion for bringing so many people to write practically an essay about two different characters that will in no way effect them in real life.

I think it should be Alex cause he was the one that introduced her to love and rescued her and gave the chance for freedom and all that! but I think Julian should be the one she ends up with.

umm... most def ALEX!!! All the way!!!
Alex because no one (from my own experience and from those around me) gets over their first love. First love is the best love, the purest love (in most cases) that people come across in their lifetime.
Yes it sucks for Julian because she IS his first love, but his relationship with her doesn't have an ounce of what her and Alex's relationship has. Alex brought her out of her shell and they have SO much history together. I feel like her and Julian just did not spend as much time together as a COUPLE like her and Alex did.
I'm rooting for Alex all the way.
Another thing is that Lena is the first Uncured Julian has ever been alone with for a long period of time. Yeah his feelings for her are true, but I just feel like he will move on eventually. Alex never would and neither could Lena. She wasn't fully over Alex when she and Julian started.
Alex. Julian's just way too annoyingly weak and naiive. And before someone spews Julian-love fueled unpleasant comments my way, I know he's got a totally different background etc to Alex and we see him at the beginning of his discovery and emergence and all that but he still seems, for me, to emit some kind of "I'm weak and need protection" thing and I don't mind that at times (obviously) but it just seems so constantly the case with Julian. So Alex for the win in my opinion.

Alex!!!! He risked his life to be with her. He told her to run and to never look back. He never actually left her. It wasnt his fault. No hate to Julian but what did he really do. Yeah he helped her,but the whole reason why she started to defy the law was because of who? ALEX!!!!!! He is the one who started this all. So he should be the one who ends it.

Julian just annoyed me in the whole thing. I found it obvious that Alex would still be alive and that Lena would end up with him, so Julian was always just irritating and pointless to me. I didn't really ever connect with his character.

I'm not exactly sure because I haven't read Requiem and Julian and Alex are my two favorite characters! I really don't like Lena, so I don't think she deserves either of them! Sorry not sorry.
