I hope that for the first part of the third book she chooses to take a step back from both of them (since she obviously has feelings for both of them) and be then she can be the kick butt girl she's become without depending on a guy. And then she can develop relationships with both of the guys aside from a 'boyfriend-girlfriend' relationship and see who they truly are and who she is and THEN she can pick which one.Personally, I LOVE Alex. He's hardcore.
I think Julian is sweet and brave but I feel like he's going to depend alot Lena and be clingy-ish. However, I can see how ya'll think he's better for Lena.
BUT i still think Lena's hardcore and Alex is hardcore soooo they should be hardcore together.
I think it'll end in one of two ways. 1. Lena chooses Julien, and Alex is just a friend, no more.
2. Lena chooses Alex, and Julien ends up with Hana. ( I want this to happen!!!)
I think I'm leaning more towards the 2nd option, not only because Hana comes into the story, but also because I feel that even if Lena DID change, she still has the Lena side that loved Alex, and risked everything to be with him. Alex was the first person Lena truly wanted to be with, leaving behind her family and friends for him.
Also, (Spoiler!!! Because Hana told on Lena and Alex, I don't think she'll forgive Hana ever, and neither will Alex, leaving her with Julien, who I THINK will be on her side, because he was raised to believe in the DFA)
Not only that, but I also think that Julien will be disloyal to Lena, and eventually they end it off, leaving it as a friendship. Also, Lauren Oliver wouldn't have put in so much foreshadowing in the beginning chapters that Alex will come back, if she was just going to end up putting Alex into confuse Lena.
I just think the Alex is the tougher more, more correct choice for Lena, because Julien just seems to much like a coward to me, and is someone who just isn't willing to put it all on the line like Alex did, to come find Lena again.
Also, I don't blame Alex for being pissed off when he comes back to find Lena and Julien sucking each other's faces off, because anyone would be too. Plus, the only reason Lena saved Julien, was because she couldn't lose him as well as Alex, showing that (In my opinion) Alex is the better choice, but I really wish the 2nd option is how it plays out, because I love Alex so much.
Julian, who knows what Alex's reaction will be in the thrid book he will probably even want her killed. If Alex really loved her, he wouldn't hate Lena just because she moved on... we all have to sometimes and if Alex starts a lot of drama in the next book I'm so going to want him killed.
Ladies!!!! how quick you are to forget that without Alex Lena would be married off to someone else. She would have never escaped. I blame Lena for any of Alex's crazyness. TEAM ALEX!!!! and if Julian truly loves her he will realize that her heart belongs to Alex and he will let her go.
ALEX!!!!!!!! Well, that is for now. When I first saw Julians name I though he was a little kid! XD But I have always loved Alex... :)

Know what? With who she ends up with? I think that the people that already got the ARC are telling to the ones that want to know, I guess.

sure thing, though I already know because I can't wait too long. it still fun (and a little bit irritating) to read this kind of discussion it was just quite amusing to me especially on how people become so affected by this "love triangle thing" wondering every time why they went overboard just to fight for their man yet some still don't really care of finding the winner earlier.
PS: Can't wait to read the final book and the discussion after :)
How do you choose??? How will she choose??? Alex was her first love, but Julian gave up everything for her. I don't know, I truely don't. The next book will be amazing. I'm sure.
I haven't decided. I love both for different reasons, so I'm waiting to read Requiem before I decide whether I want Alex of Julian. It may turn out that Julian becomes somewhat of a brat and I pick Alex or maybe Alex will become an annoying "turned" character, somewhat like Peeta in the Hunger Games and I'll pick Julian. I'm waiting to decide. I did find it somewhat odd she "fell in love" with Julian so quickly and if she were a real person I'd probably talk to her about how her feelings maybe more about how they were trapped together than true love. But she's a made up person, so how should I know if the author wanted it to truly be love or not?
Defiantly Alex because he was linas first love and if it he was never in the linas life she wouldn't be the same as she is now. All through out the second book we see her trying to recover from the loss of Alex and she really should stay with Alex. Also because i like Alex more than julian

I never thought I would say it but: Julian. Honestly, it is the first time I prefer the second guy in the love-triangle.
Of course, Alex was the first one Lena fell in love with and he was the one who changed her and gave her the possibility to escape, but he was gone for such a long time. She did not know he was alive otherwise she would have reacted differently.
Julian just seems to fit better to Lena. They have much more similarities and they actually understand each other because they went through similar situations and feelings and problems.
It felt better to read about Julian and Lena than about Alex and Lena somehow....
Sorry :( I really like Alex but I nevertheless think that Julian is the right one for Lena and not Alex.
...well I just read a small excerpt from Requiem and I am almost sure who she will choose...I am completely devastated oh god...
Alex! I mean there's nothing wrong with Julian but she met Alex first and none of this would have happened without him.
Lauren Oliver is an amazing author who made most of us fall in love with both Alex and Julian. So lets stuck it out to see what she has in store, because anything she writes will be great!

I don't know between Julian and Alex. I used to be Alex all the way when I first started to read it but then I thought Julian was such a sweety and I just don't know anymore, guess we'll have to see in requiem. One thing is for sure though:

I finished Pandemonium and immediately was seized with fear - I wasn't sure I even wanted to read Requiem for fear that Lena and Alex's relationship would be ruined forever! Let's be honest - she never really has gotten over him. Julian needed rescuing, so she did that with what she learned from Alex. But Alex is the source; he taught her to love. She'll never get over him, and I am desperately hoping that in Requiem they can have the happily ever after they deserve.

Uhhh HELLOO!!! TEAM ALEX! You just don't date a guy you've known for less than a month. If they do get together and have children, if one of them goes "how did you meet mom?" Jullian will go "in a jail cell". Not the best answer. I think Jullian is not really in love with Lena. He's in love with the idea of love. He's never experienced it before, so he's curious. Especially because his father is the head of the DFA. Alex sacrificed so much for Lena. He spent 6 months in jail. He escaped to be with Lena again, thinking that she would wait for him. I think Jullian should just BACK OFF!!!
Pretended he was dead? He never pretended he was dead...Lena assumed he was dead...there's a big difference there

Idk Lauren Oliver said it would be enter than a movie for the same reason....there would be a lot of scenes in the book that wouldn't be in a movie because of the length of it ...the only thing that worries me a little is the changes they might make that might change the story completely just like pretty little liars or any other book turned into series but I'm happy cause ill get to see more of Alex
Hmmm... I agree that a TV series would capture a lot more of the essence of Delirium, but I'm still kind of iffy on the concept. Plus, my worst fear is that the actor who plays Alex is nothing at all like Alex and I'll go insane. Of course, everyone imagines him differently in their mind, so...

Oh god!!! Idk it would drive me insane!!! There's another thread about actors that could portray the characters and none of the ones suggested for Alex live up to my expectations...I'm just crazy about this fictional character

I hate all the suggestions they were spouting--"Let's Cast Delirium", right?--so I banned myself from going on there, or else I'd spread hateful comments! I can't imagine Alex as any living actor, he's just like this godly boy in my mind. ;)
