I completely agree with this...they both had noone left in their lives...they were stuck in a room together for DAYYYSSSS what do you expect?

We don't go for the obvious choice just because Alex was Lena's first love. Sorry but i have yet to see any good reason to prefer Alex, i like Julian better, i just do, I never really connected with Alex. xxx

Are you talking to me? Well, a couple of months ago, a link popped up on here and supposedly, a new girl named Coral is going to steal Alex away from Lena. I was really mad about it at first and threw a rage, but hey, this might be a good thing.

Ha ha, you remind me of myself just a week or two ago. Trust me, I love Alex beyond compare--I cried for nearly an hour after the book's end and his death. Then I threw a rage for that. Then I scribbled in my notebook until I couldn't write anymore. And then, I couldn't stop falling for every guy named Alex who walked past me. But I firmly believe now that the delirious anger and passion and hate has cleared from my mind that Julian and Lena will be better together. Alex deserves someone better. Hell, he needs someone better. If Coral's as bad as I thought she was at first, then let's set fire to all the books, but Alex going back to Lena? No. Not happening in my world!

Ha ha, ..."
Okay I do get your point but Alex loves Lena and even if she doesn't deserve him, he won't be happy with someone else. But if he is happy with this girl Coral then I totally agree although Lena should be left alone! just can't believe she hurt such a nice guy like Alex!!!

Yup, that's exactly what I was getting at. If he loves Lena, let it be. Let them fight, and we'll see who comes out victorious. If he doesn't love Lena--because remember, he's changed, the end of Pandemonium so clearly knocks that blow into your head--then let him be with Coral if it is right. If neither works out, then the hell with it! What the heck is wrong with someone who won't give sweet, sweet Alex love?

...julian sucks

Exactly I just want Alex to have the happy ending he deserves. At the end of Delirium he sacrificed himself for Lena's safety then at the end of Pandemonium he walks in on Lena smooching up some other guy. I hope at the end of Requiem he finally gets his happy ending :')

I know I better get the tissues ready for Requiem lol but I found a reveiw online and this is what it said about the ending...there are no spoilers though:
Lauren Oliver's Requiem feels far less like the conclusion of a trilogy than the third book of a tetralogy. Readers who are comfortable with ambiguity will enjoy the ending, and readers who want to know what *exactly* happened, and to whom, and who survives and who doesn't, and what will happen next will likely be very disappointed. Many novels begin in media res, but this one kind of ends there. I'm fine with that. I'd rather have an ambiguous ending than one whose ends are tied up too neatly or implausibly. And to be honest, I'm not so enamored of this series that I really care all that much. I'm mildly curious to know what happens to Lena, Grace, Alex, Hana, and Julian after the book ends, but it's not the sort of thing that will keep me up at night. It is the sort of ending that will inspire much fanfic, though.

Thats the same review I read this morning...it just made me more anxious!

I know me too! WHY LARUEN OLIVER DO YOU DO THIS TO US!

Exactly how I feel. First I was really angry, then really sad, and then the deliria cleared away so I think properly. All I've ever wanted is for Alex is be happy. And that's what love is anyway. Loving someone enough to let them go.

I know who Coral is, I'm reading Requiem:)

Now that that first blob of thought is out of the way, let's talk about Julian, who is obviously the underdog, and, if we follow the popular love triangle pattern, is probably going to lose out on this love war. But it doesn't mean I can't support him (I always seem to go for the underdog... *sigh* still pissed about Katniss ending up with Peeta.) and love the pairing. My favorite part about this pairing is Julian's naivety- I personally found it adorable that Lena had to guide him into love, into feeling, into not being a robot incapable of anything but following pre-made commands. It was remarkedly similar in a way to how Alex led Lena into love- she was afraid of it, she wanted to cure, but he showed her not to be afraid of love. Julian was scared of her, of the disease, and even had her same fear of being somewhat afraid of the cure. He even mentions having nightmares and hoping they'll go away! And how Alex and Lena both reveal that they're Invalids... ... *sigh* It's practically the same relationship, with the roles reversed. However, Julian and Lena are much more alike than Alex and Lena- they know what it is like to fear love, to be freed from the fear of it, and to embrace it. Both entered into their relationship uncertainly, slowly opening up to each other and transforming the other- mainly Lena transforms Julian though. He goes from an untrusting, selfish, cowardly prick (though... I love those kinds of characters. <3 They're so interesting) into a caring, brave, trusting guy in the course of days. He was so in love with her that he didn't even fight death, didn't even fight his execution. He finally understood why people didn't want the cure- why they chose death over the cure. And Lena was willing to sacrifice herself for him, even though she was convinced the attempt would be useless and likely get herself killed in the process. She didn't have the weeks she'd had with Alex- the bond between Lena and Julian is just as strong and was able to form in a much shorter time. And it's not a completely survival-based love as it kind of appears to be- they learn so much about each other, giving up some of their closest secrets and discovering what kind of person the other really is. They do love each other, and their love is adorable. It's so cute when the guy is all innocent and unknowing... (just like FerrisWheelshipping. *is shot*)
Though, as far as my opinion as the love triangle as a whole goes... SERIOUSLY?! Is there not ONE popular series without one of these things anymore? Sheesh... It's probably going to kill me. Luckily for me, Delirium does not seem capable of reducing me to tears, and I doubt it will, so the only true threat to my mental stability is the end of Clockwork Princess, which I am sure will leave me crying for days. (Team Jem! *is shot* Told you I always go for the underdog... Unintentionally too...)

how can you say she "moved on" she couldn't stop thinking about Alex through the whole book

Wow although I could argue with that I give you serious kudos for having actually good and valid reasons about how Julian is the better choice. Your not like these other team Julians who are all like "I like Julian because he and Lena are good together" ugh so annoying. I never thought about his puppy dog mentality being a cute thing and how they understand each other both being born into the "love is a bad thing" world.
Uhh huh although I still beleive that Alex is the better choice (for many reasons but I'm supposed to be doing school work haha xD but you said you read through all the posts so I think you saw my veiws anyway) I won't be completely mad if she ends up with Julian as long as the love triangle is exucted properly *cough* unlike Mokingjay *cough* and Julian mans up thanks to this post. However, it all comes down to Requiem (although I already know the end hehe >xD)

I felt as though Julian's acceptance of a world where "deliria" wasn't all that natural. Yes, he was questioning it, kind of, before he met Lena, but he still wanted the cure. I don't believe someone who has a father in the DFA and taught the cure was the only way to live would change his mind after spending one week with someone. I don't know, it just seemed too sudden a change.
That's mostly why I'm for Alex. Alex's pros would be, he knows the life of the Wilds more, he's had a connection with Lena that goes beyond just spending one week with her. He knows about her mother, he knows about her life before. He had moments and times with her that weren't too serious.
With Julian, it was always "on". With Alex, while they had to sneak around, they were also able to have their downtime at the house and play games.
All that said, Alex could be a completely different person now. Not the same Alex as before.
To summarize: Didn't connect with Julian.
I don't like Alex, I don't hate him but I don't like him. SO JULIAN, but let's be honest, this book wasn't very good

WOW what tell me the end woman, send me a message save me money on buying the book, i like the series but alli really care about is the ending, its just one of THOSE series' for me, you know the ones you read out of basic curiosity. xxx ;)
