Alex or Julian???
ALEX, ALEX, ALEX. I NEVER connected with julian. He seems like a poor little baby to me. He will never be able to survive in the wilds. But Alex has lived ther for like the first 10 years of his life. LENA PICK ALEX!!!!
OK, Alex never grew as a character, he went in a rebel and came out a rebel. Julian did, and It was probably harder for him. How could u people not luv Julian, com'on! He's this sweet kid how grew so much because he loved Lena. Alex taught Lena how to love, but Julian will teach her that love conquers love...sorry I'm a romantic.

This isnt hard for me ALEX is my choice.I couldnt care less about Julian....he is nice, but I dont know...I just didnt feel any thing for him. Alex was intense, barve, strong and he gave up his life (or so we thought) for Lena. Julian kinda clinged to Lena to stay alive!

I get that, but my opinion is the complete opposite, i think Julian will be the stronger person in the end and will be Lena's respectful equal, plus he has blue eyes and i fall for blue eyes every time. ;) xxx
BridieJDRAGON I agree! I loved Alex, but by the time I really met Julian in Pandemonium I had accepted his death. Not just that but I do think that something happened to Alex and he's changed. I'm thinkin him and Hana get together... Just a geuss though ;)

Julian is just a big bucket of blue eyed pity I'm sorry but he is. Alex is such a stronger character. Julian is just kind of a big puppy if he and Lena get together she will have to take care of him lol xD Seriously though what do you see in Julian yes I know he went against everything he had been taught yadda yadda but the fact of the matter is if Lena wasn't there to take care of him then he would be dead because he didn't have the courage or ambition to look for ways to stay alive. Yes I know his father had an iron grip on him but the crypts had an iron grip on Alex but he's out you know why? Because Alex actually wants to stay alive and will fight to do it and won't just sit around looking at pictures.of being free (I know I'm being harsh but COME ON!) Yes I know Alex was born in the Wilds but still even if he wasn't Alex is one of those people that would actually look for a way out.
Julian is just to fragile for me I need a real man. ;)

That has got to be one of the single most difficult questions to answer. EVER! it's just so hard to decide, because they're both so great. *sigh* I guess I will be happy with either one in the end, but then i'll feel so sorry for the other one....its a vicious cycle...

ALEX!! i absolutely fell in love with the characters and series!! This was my first real YA book and after reading it i couldnt get enough!!! i really am wondering if Alex still wants Lena??? grr.. i hope so!! i can NOT wait for Requiem to see what happens!! and i must say, i loved the second book, but not as much as the first! i know with the plot and aspect of the second it would be harder too, but i missed Alex and Lena's romance the whole time!!

Julian is just kind of a big puppy if he and Lena get together she will have to take care of hi..."I really dont know where this view that Julian is weak is coming from, he seemed pretty strong to me, he dealt with things really well, the only reason Lena seemed more in charge is because she'd been living in the wilds, not everyone is born in the wilds like Alex that doesn't make them weak characters, I'm pretty sure Julian will be a very strong character in the future now that he's in the wilds with Lena, it takes a lot of strength to abandon everything to you know about life for love, at least I think so. ;) x
Alex! I like Julian, but I find that he'd be better as Lena's friend instead of her boyfriend. Plus i think that Alex is her epic love :)

I definitely say Alex. I love Julian, I do! But he seems more like a brother figure. Definitely going with Alex. You can go wrong with that amber hair <3
I like Alex more. Julian never grew on me... I dunno, I guess it's my preference in guys. Alex is the protector. Julian is the one who's protected by Lena... So I'd go for Alex.

STOP BULLYING JULIAN PEOPLE, Alex is so....boring and uncomplicated, i feel like i've read his character so many times before, i mean COME ON- he loves poetry, is 'mysterious', he's a hero to the max blah blah blah, nothing origional there, its not that i dont like a mysterious and badass love interest, i like them a lot actually, but for me Alex had no edge, nothing that made him stand out to make me love him, sorry people, Julian may not be perfect, but he is brave and blue eyes get me every time, and he's not like EVERY OTHER LOVE INTEREST IN YA LITERATURE EVER, got to love that ;) xxx

Although I am a fan of Alex, I like your point of view on this. You bring up good points about Julian. I just think Lauren rushed that romance a bit...it seemed awkward...forced.

It's always hard to stray from the first guy you've loved but I've got to go with Julian here. Alex opened her eyes to the Deliria and the possibility of a free life and you can never thank him enough for that. However, i agree with others who've said that moving on from your first love is good and Lena has said that she is more comfortable with Julian than Lena and I agree that they do have more in common in a sense. but sometimes that doesn't matter.
Also, both love affairs have been so short that it is hard to tell what is right. There is a greater bond with Alex merely because they were together longer.
Even though its tough i think she's got to go with her heart and her heart was already saying she felt more comfortable with Julian than Alex after one of their first few times touching so I've gotta lean to Julian for her.
