I love Alex. I've honestly fallen for the guy. He saved Lena's life countless times. But to be totally honest, I think Lena's going to end up with Julian. I'd really rather for her to be with Alex and if that does happen, then so be it. But Julian seems to relate more to Lena tbh, and that sort of connection isn't easy to break. But then again, Alex was always there even without Lena knowing, and he will continue to always be there.

let's all promise something to each other though, that we will not start this "team" crap because i can't stand that to be honest

I'm not against Julian, but in a way Alex is the right for her. She was basically reborn because of him. On the other hand, Julian and Lena are both pretty new to all of these and so are kind of on the same page. But I just want Lena with Alex.

Aggh! I feel exactly the same way, yet also exactly the opposite. I loved Alex the first moment I read about him, and I wasn't able to connect to Julian at all, making reading Pandemonium a stressful struggle (uh, Julian and Lena kissing? Eww!), and I was going insane over how Lena could just forget about her first love, the guy who'd supposedly die for her, so easily, but also the opposite is true. Alex does seem to be crazy different in the last page, and that led me to wonder, could his appearance be the window to his insides? Could he really be a different guy than before? If this is true, then I hate to say it, but I'm still all for Alex! There's just something about Julian that always leaves me with this mutual hatred of him that I can't explain. I just do. I spent a long time thinking about this and it's totally eating me up inside. Like what Alex said on the last page, "Don't believe her." Don't believe what? Don't believe who? Does he still love Lena?? It drives me totally insane! Also, you have to consider this is not all Lena, Lena, Lena!
Alex probably went through hell in the Crypts! What do we know about him? He could be so wounded he can't even open himself up to love again, but if Lena loves him, maybe in time, it will happen. Or maybe he's angry. He did tell Lena to run, but did he expect her to save him? Or maybe he's sad to know that Lena has fallen in love again, or the opposite, happy to know she has found a way to survive without him.
And Julian has got to be caught up in this too. I mean, he assumed Alex was dead, right? Much as I dislike him, I know he's not the type of person who dates another guy's girl behind his back. So he must be feeling equally conflicted and confused.
Meanwhile, I hate that Julian and Lena are even in love in the first place. I really, really, REALLY hate situations where two people are taken as prisoners and fall in love. It's so stupid, like being trapped together makes it mandatory to fall in love, to rely on one another. It drives me absolutely insane. I felt the same way when I was reading The Hunger Games because Katniss was forced to fall in love with Peeta for the sake of her life and ended up with him (and yeah, I was Team Gale). If anyone has noticed, the Delirium series has many aspects in common with The Hunger Games (regulators, Peacekeepers; electrified gates; strict government; dystopian future; etc.) and this just makes me even more stressed because Lena and Julian met under the same conditions Katniss and Peeta did, leading me to feel like Lena will ultimately cast Alex aside, which makes me feel absolutely horrible.
And this probably sounds plain evil, but Julian has that brain tumor thing, and he's probably going to die, considering how many surgeries he's had to undergo. So Lena and Alex may just end up together after all. But then what if Lena is so striken over that, she decides not to love Alex either? Wouldn't that be a horrible ending?!
And come on, Lena NEVER stopped loving Alex! You can say she buried the past all you want, but you can deny that Lena still loves Alex. You know it from the way she reacted to his presence, the way when she was running, she used "Alex is alive" as her mantra, the way as she was running, she believed Alex's presence was there, watching her, and someday, he would really be there (little did she know how true that was).
Alex taught Lena how to love. . . that should be important, right? He made her who she is; without him, she would have already gotten the cure by now. There would be no "new" Lena, no love.
And face it, there are endless possibilities. We are all going to be discussing this until Requiem comes out and even then, we probably won't expect how it plays out and we might not even be satisfied with the ending. But it's clear who I'm for, and that is Alex, always, forever.

I know, that is a mystery to me. If you don't like one of the main characters, doesn't that make you just want to close the book and stop reading? I know I would. It would bug me to the extent that I couldn't possibly read any longer. I probably wouldn't have finished reading Pandemonium anyway, but then I accidentally read the last few words on the last page of Pandemonium when I was looking at how many pages it had and I freaked when I realized what I'd saw. I immediately emailed my BFF, and we thought that he actually came back from the dead, but she said maybe he was never really dead and stuff, and I really want her to read Delirium, but she's so busy. . .
Anyway, I love Alex!!!

I really love Alex he is totally right for Lena.... And Lena just has to choose him!!!! But here's the thing I'm thinking t she's gonna break Alex's heart and choose Julian ( not that I didn't like Julian he's nice and all but he's no alex) because the whole moral of the book is that there is no past. So that probably means that she moved on because she thought Alex was dead so now it's her past. But personally I can't believe she just forgot aout Alex like that... I think we're twins. Every thing you just said was in my brain. And I'm Team Gale too!! I HATE when the two people fall in love from the whole trapped-in-somewhere-we-were-forced-to-be too!! I care...obviously! ;) Its not that i like Julian more its just that i never really thought of Alex as anything special either, if were basing it on looks then blue eyes just get to me, and if we're basing it on personality then honestly we dont really know enough about EITHER of them to judge that. All we know is they've both had a rough time of it, and would both give up everything for Lena, appart from that... i mean the best argument for Alex that i can see is that he taught Lena how to love, but Lena taught Julian how to love so, really, its kind of the same thing if yet in very different circumstances. People are saying that the thing she has with Julian wasnt as real as what she had with Alex but the way i see it Lena has changed A LOT since she last saw Alex so it is conceivable that Julian knows more about the current Lena, personality-wise i mean. Also before anyone says it i think teh 'time' argument is not really fair as just because you've known someone for longer doesn't mean you now them better. This is just my opinion though, but yes Alex's hair is cool too ;) x

Julian has seizers, he is rushed to the hospital. Alex has seizures, and he is left to die. Lena screwed up so bad with julian and she BETTER end up wih alex I was so pissed and heartbroken in both endings!!!!!!!!

i think Julian is a great guy- there's nothing about him that really makes me think he wouldn't be a good choice for Lena but I still choose Alex all the way. He was her first love; a love that was ended before it even had a chance to fully bloom. And that's not to mention the sacrificing and risks Alex continuously put himself in for her. Julian is realizing now what side he's really on and he's just swept up in all these new emotions of love he was never allowed to experience or feel. I'm not saying that its not real but until they actually have TIME to let their relationship grow, his feelings have to be over-exaggerated and souped up by the whole new-to-love thing.

nothing changes the fact that alex and lena have more then unfinished business with each other. not that lena shouldn't be happy, but i was never really OK with her becoming so fond of Julian in the first place knowing that Alex's "death" was so fresh. But that fact that he is now ALIVE, well lets just say that should change EVERYTHING!

I think that Lena is going to have to fight for his love back. He must be thinking she didn't care for him as much as she acted if it was so easy for her to let him go and love another as quickly as she did.

I think Julian's sweet but I rekon Lena and Alex have way more of a connection, he helped her through everything and showed her so much about the world that she didn't know about. Then he also sacrificed himself for her at the end of Delirium.

Except the way Alex acted at the end of Pandemonium was like he didn't care about her anymore, maybe I'm reading to much into the small paragraph, but still... Then again I didn't know that Lauren said that only one of them loves Lena so I agree with Michaela.

In the end though I think I'm still Team Alex!
