I liked Lena a lot more in Delirium, but Pandemonium... I was so pissed and glaring at the book!!! Alex FTW! And Lena, YOU BETTER REDEEM YOURSELF! Actually, that's what I thought Pandemonium would be about!!! I didn't believe Alex died at all (or Lauren Oliver would've been hearing an earful from me!) I thought Lena would become stronger as she adapts to the Wilds, going on a search party for her mom and Alex. I believed she'd further develop growing like she had throughout Delirium. She was likeable and relateable then. What I DIDN'T expect was Lena declaring her love to a wimpy guy that she knew in jail, that she knew for TWO-not months,years-but weeks (as you can see, I'm not exactly a fan of insta-love. I like an old-fashioned love story where the people get to KNOW each other before falling in love.) And all my respect for Lena was lost in those 300 pages. I get a girl needs to move on, but in 6 months??? Without a throughout search if your beloved is alive or dead??? And replacing a guy that did so much for you, with a guy that can hardly protect himself??? Uh, no thanks. The second book kinda ruined the series for me, but I'll wait for the third book before I judge the whole series. The second book doesn't exist to me. Nuh-uh. Nope. Doesn't exist.
