which series is better mortal instruments or infernal devices

Well... Mortal Instruments was the series that got me into Cassandra Clare's books... But the series is wearing off on me whereas The Infernal Devices is not...

I think the Infernal Devices is the better written of the two series, but I love the characters more in The Mortal Instruments.
