Ok today we'll be reading Chapter 9.. Chapter 8 wasn't such a good chapter.. it was pretty much pretty boring.. Katniss just whines how nervous she is about getting arrested or killed for trying to hurt the Game Makers but in the end she gets an 11/12.

I love how Katniss and Peeta have a connection because even if they never were friends he will always be the boy who helped her out.

Its is disgusting how they try to dress up them up and have them be someone they are not all for entertainment!

do you guys think that they gave katniss the 11 as a punishment for scaring them? b/c didn't haymitch say that that high of a score puts a bigger target on your back?

At times, i find myself liking Haymitch. 2) Can't believe Effie is making Katniss worry about posture and walking in high heels when her life is at stake :O 3) Can't believe Peeta said he loves Katniss! The thing you need to keep in mind about Effie is that she needs to help her tributes but is very limited on what she can do. She helps Katniss with her walk because she wants Katniss to make a good impression with the audience so that she will get sponsors. More sponsors, better chances. This is the best Effie can do for Katniss.

Haymitch tries to make his contribution.. but his best isn't really working for Katniss. Haymitch wants Katniss to hide her attitude but that's really what the people want to see.

The first time I read the end of the chapter, I was kind of like "WHJATWIEOGHh"$@#(HG?!" And then I read it again and I was like "Of course. Duh he's in love with her."

When I read the Hunger Games the first time I wasn't quite sure if Peeta was really a sick mastermind plotting to win or a dude hopelessly in love.

Ehh I'm not a Peeta fan at all! He's ok but I just don't him with Katniss AT ALL. She just uses him which is horrible.

Chapters 10-11: Peeta's interview plays them as the "Romeo and Juilet", star-crossed lovers.. Kinda cute except Katniss doesn't really like Peeta. The Games Begin Katniss goes all ninja to get one of the packs. 11 die on the 1st day.. a shocking thing is how Peeta seems to have an alliance with the careers! This is where the action and suspense :) Everything else before this is fluff compared to the Games

I'm not really sure where we are since i read ahead but i'm loving all of the action! rue is simply amazing and I can't wait to see her in action in the movie! anyone else think the name Glimmer is kind of cool?

Chapter 13- There will be fire.. setting the Girl Who Was on Fire in a panic, there will be a meeting between the Careers and Katniss. Rue will make an appearance

they were an alliance until of course it was just them and then they would have to kill each other which is just horrible :O I wish she lived!

Why make an alliance with someone you have to kill in the end? you will only grow attached and then its going to get difficult to end their life.
