I'm currently reading a short novella by Jean Marie Ward (can't find the book here in GR), entitled "Hoodoo Cupid". Here's the amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Hoodoo-Cupid-eb... very cute story.
I'm also reading another book. It's by Paula Martin
I was introduced to both these books on my Six Sentence Sunday rounds.

I have a few others sitting on my Kobo waiting for me. :)

I'm totally in love with the duke right now. He's completely an alpha and loves to push to get what he wants. I'm flying for work tomorrow and I'm excited to have several uninterrupted hours so I can read LOL!

I hope you enjoy it! I'm a big fan of steampunk, and I love how well she's incorporated the elements, while keeping the pace of the mystery flowing.
Plus, you know, the duke is hot. :)
Hi ladies, I have just taken a break from reading the Alex Cross novels by James Pattison. I was ridiculously hooked on them! But I've now started The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and plan to read the other two in the series (the first one better be good cos I bought them all at once in a pack!)
I just finished Memoirs of a Geisha and not something I typically read, but I must say that it completely took me in and was so beautifully written!

Hi Erin, I found Girl With The Dragon Tattoo a bit slow to start. But I stuck with it and the ending was pretty stellar.
Awesome! I usually find 500 page books very daunting but I really wanna see the movie. (I have a love of reading the books from which movies we're based!)

I'm nervous to read it. I heard that the Swedish title translated in Men who hate women?

Maybe Erin will let us know about this one. I really don't know if I want to read about crazy men killing woman. I guess if it were CSI style I would be ok with it. Just not very sure.

LOL I hadn't heard that.
It's a murder mystery with a nice twist at the end. Lisbeth's character is pretty bad ass, but she's not in it a lot until toward past the second half.

So I finally finished the book and must say I loved it! It was a little slow to start with but was certainly not difficult to get through each page.
I liked Lisbeths character and especially Bloomkvist, and to be honest, I thought he was a 'perfect' man!
Once the book got into full swing it had me hook, line and sinker! I found myself trying to solve the murder myself and was not disappointed. I must say that i didn't find the book offensive (in relation to the murder of women etc), but mind you I am a self confessed horror lover!
The only criticism I had was that the book didn't end after the crime was solved, but then again I don't think it could have as there were loose ends that needed to be tied up.
I have gotten my hands on my movie now and I can't wait to start the next book! (which is longer than the first one and even more daunting!!)
