Coffeentea, Finished the Buddy read
early this morning, sorry we didn't get much discussion ... work gets in the way of my online time It was a cute book, a little slow in places but amusing in many others. Thanks for the recommendation. E
Finished Spell of the Highlander yesterday 3/10. It was OK compared to all the other books in Karen Marie Moning's Highlander Series. Although it brought in the MacKeltar twins, Cian didn't really fit into the who thing for me. I gave it 2 stars. Michelle, thanks for reminding me that I had this on my TBR. It's been there for a while and I always feel bad leaving a series unfinished. Hope you are having a good March!

Hi Carla! I forgot to say that I finished Someone to Watch Over Me last week. You can't go wrong with Lisa Kleypas, I can always count on interesting (imperfect) characters. Thanks for the push :)
I finished Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl and I liked it a lot. I gave it four stars and I really want to read the next book in the series. I am going to read Delirium next for this challenge.

I finished Body Check. It was a cute story but not an awesome story. It felt like it just didn't have enough feeling about it. It was a fun story though. I give it 3 stars.

Hi Macwolf01, sorry it took me so long. I didn't have much time to read. But I am finally done with it now. This is my 2nd Kristan Higgins book, it's not as funny or poignant as the first one, Too Good to Be True. Maybe the book didn't suit my mood at the time. Lately, I've been into UF and PNR with kick butt heroines and funny banters. Actually, there were good banters in this book between Posey and Liam.
I agree, one of my sections was when she 'broke' him, I too have been in more of an kick butt mood. But it was a quick fun read. Thanks again!
Sara,I finished my first pick: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith. I really liked it and I am excited for the movie. Thanks for giving me the push I needed to read it and get it off my shelf!

Lauren - When you do your updates, can you please don't strikethem through? It's difficult to read what's going on and you've read so many books I want to make sure I don't miss one in the update.

6.Nutty as a fruitcake: I will give you a choice bc I am not sure what you exact limits are for books. Both books are in a genre I don't read from often but I got a recommendation for and fell in love with these books.

So I have finished my third read Glory in Death. I literally finished this book in just a few hours. I liked it, but I'm still on the fence about the series. Is Roarke a link or suspect in all the books? I can see it getting old quick if he is.

I finished my second recommendation from Nancy today - Celebrity in Death. I love this series, and this one might be one of my favorites. It's a little bit lighter than the norm, less violence and more humor, I think. Thanks again, Nancy! :)

Hi Lauren I just finished my first pick today 3/14 Wicked Appetite
. I loved it. It was such a fun read. I hope there is more to the series. I don't think I will be able to do the buddy read though. I have been doing root canals (5) and the last one has knocked me for a loop, wound up with an infection and I am on too many painkillers to concentrate too hard. This book was a good one though since it was so light.

today.Very good book. Not a favorite, but Devlin and Laurel fit very nice together. Enjoyed their relationship and I really like the other Paladin's as well! Very interested in Barak.
Definitely will continue this series.

I finished
for my Buddy Read.. for some reason I didn't like it as much as I thought I would or as much as the recommendations claimed I would. Don't get me wrong Valek was amazing and is currently starring in quiet a few my dreams ;) but, the narration started to become a little draining and the pace of the story was slow for me. But I loved the world that the author created not many books start with such gruesome torture subjected upon the heroine. I loved how strong Yelena was and how determined she was to do something once she set her mind to it. She never made excuses for herself or appealed to others on the basis of her gender and freely admitted to the crime she had committed. Ari & Janco made me fall in love with them and kept me thoroughly entertained.
One thing that disappointed me was Valek and Yelena's romance which was very subtle and didn't start until the near ending of the book. I knew from Valek's first appearance that he cherished Yelena and cared for her but somehow I felt there should've been a little more fire. My favorite lines:
"But you’ve slipped under my skin, invaded my blood and seized my heart.”
“That sounds more like a poison than a person,” was all I could say. His confession had both shocked and thrilled me.
“Exactly,” Valek replied. “You have poisoned me."

I'm impressed that you keep track of all of this, but I think you missed me. I did read one of my picks: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (message 518). My little post would be easy to miss when going through the pages and pages of updates. It's still impressive and I am so glad that the folks who host this challenge each month are willing to donate the time and effort to keep the rest of us happy. Thank you!

He becomes a major fixture in Eve's life. ;) He isn't always a suspect, but usually he ends up being linked somehow since he owns most of the buildings and companies in New York and elsewhere!

I just finished
today!I'm on a roll! I normally don't like books with children in them. It takes away from the romance in my opinion, I'm also not sure why I don't like the woman being older than the man, but I wasn't terribly happy about that either.
However, that being said, the book was great! I loved Elec and Tamara was real. It felt right for them to find each other and their relationship felt legit. Enjoyed it greatly!

Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! I had a crazy busy week and this is the first time I've really sat down. I have to finish another buddy read and then I will be picking this one up! I'm glad you thought it was so great! (I always get nervous I'll do stinky picks when I haven't read the book)
I finished Delirium by Lauren Oliver and I thought it was amazing! I gave it 5 stars. I really am developing a serious addiction to YA dystopian novels. I seriously need to get the next book in this series. Oh my goodness.
