Unknown Book - No Information AT ALL! Can't rescue.

How am I supposed to work out what this book is?

Normally there's *something* left in the book data to give me a clue: ISBN; cover art; other authors mentioned in the librarian log; whatever.

But this book has nothing. Nothing except my own tags, which only tell me it's a book I own and how I've categorised it.

I have no idea how to rescue it. Is it possible for Goodreads staff to see anything more about the book?

Goodreads has said before that they are still working to find resources for all the book data that is missing. This says to me that they have some sort of identifying data retained that they can feed to the importers (though I'm just speculating here). If they do have this data, I doubt they can risk releasing it for the purposes of finding out what books are what.

Until Goodreads finds a source that (hopefully) rescues this book, your best bet is to see if you can sleuth your way into figuring out what it is by scouring your bookshelves.

If you try filtering your to-read books by different combinations of the tags you gave the book it may help to jog your memory.

This is all I can think of too. But that will take a lot of time, since I have heaps of books. Thanks anyway.

And, now that I've rescued a few more, almost all the books left to rescue are in the same position (will be all of them soon).

This one, you can follow the link for Eric Travers, and a German title comes up, "The Last trapper". Perhaps you have the French version?

Yeah, all the additional author information I pulled out of the librarian log and put back in the regular book data, but those books aren't ones I own. Just knowing the second author isn't enough to work those ones out.

Still at a loss for the ones I do own. It's a puzzle. :)
