Alan McDermott (jambalian) | 115 comments Just got my first review for Gray Resurrection, the sequel to Gray Justice:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-revie...

Always nice to start with 5 stars :-))

Kath | 1233 comments My Review for Gray Resurrection.

Firstly I have to reiterate that this book is best read AFTER Gray Justice (Tom Gray #1) as it picks up the story from the end of that book.
Our hero is now living under an assumed identity and has just started forging himself some kind of new life, and then the proverbial hits the fan and we are whisked into a roller coaster of an action packed thriller with, like the first book, a bit of political intrigue to keep the story line going...
I thought the action sequences in GJ1 were well written. In this book, the author has simply surpassed himself with the quality of his writing. His research again is (to the best of my knowledge) faultless and also makes for an interesting educational aside during the setting up of the action at the start of the book.
Apparently, Mr McDermott is well into the next in the series, and I for one can't wait.

Alan McDermott (jambalian) | 115 comments Thank you so much for the wonderful review, Kath. I'm so glad you liked it :-))

I'll keep banging away at GJ3!

Philip (sarah) Willis | 4630 comments Finished Gray Resurrection this morning Alan and was engaged from start to finish.Thank You.
Can I suggest you set up a New Release thread as it would give your book more exposure.

I'm afraid it is a little bit too old to qualify for our 'New release' thread.......

I'm so glad you liked both books :-)) If you could be good enough to leave a rating and/or review (both would be really appreciated) it will also help with exposure.

As Simon pointed out, these books are a bit old for a New Releases thread, but I will be sure to post one for the final Tom Gray episode, which I hope to have ready towards the end of the year.

So glad to have made yet another reader happy :-)

Alan

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments When exactly was Gray Resurrection published Alan?

Can't see it on the store page.

message 74: by Alan (new)

Alan McDermott (jambalian) | 115 comments Hi Patti,

It was published on the 1st of March 2012 (nearly 3 weeks ago).

Regards,

Alan

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments It's definitely can have it's own new release thread then.

Ignore Simon. ;)

message 76: by Alan (new)

Alan McDermott (jambalian) | 115 comments Thanks Patti, I will create one later tonight when I get home from work.

Many thanks,

Alan

How's GJ3 coming along? Not that I am eager or nagging or anything, merely wondering... ;)

Sorry Hun, but I'm only about 5000 words in. Have had so many things to do recently. Don't worry, though, I have the story scoped out, it's just about fitting all the pieces together :-))

Hoping to have it ready for autumn at the latest.

Cheers,

Alan

Kath | 1233 comments Hey that's OK - I am happy to wait - it's not like I don't have a gazillion of other books on my TBR... I am happy to wait for quality writing like yours :)

I have been checking out some of the recommends from my twitter feed - the AHA list is quite useful to us readers too. I sneak a peek every so often... great idea :)

message 80: by Alan (new)

Alan McDermott (jambalian) | 115 comments Hi Kath,

the AHA list is going to be replaced in the near future as it isn't quite working. When I open the list it shows me 200 teweets from the last person to be added and I have to wait forever to see some new ones. I think we are just going to be using a new hashtag in our tweets - #HYFA2, which means Help Your Fellow Authors Too, so watch out for that one.

All the best,

Alan

message 81: by Kath (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kath | 1233 comments ooo i dont get that - i get the tweets in the proper timeline... but then maybe cos i am just subscribed rather than a member... although i have never really understood twitter !

i find just looking through the list of members is a good way to find new authors to sample, so maybe worth keeping the list and using it differently, and also use a hashtag when tweeting?

just a thought :)

message 82: by Alan (new)

Alan McDermott (jambalian) | 115 comments By all means subscribe to the AHA list (which is going to remain in place). Just click here and then click Subscribe. You can visit the list at any time and we are adding new authors every day, so hopefully there should be something to catch your eye.

message 95: by Kath (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kath | 1233 comments well if people actually read it as well as just d/l it cos it is free (and that is the hard bit) then it will do wonders for GR and that would be fantastic for you :)

Emma (emzibah) | 4125 comments That is all fantastic Alan, well done :-)

message 97: by Alan (new)

Alan McDermott (jambalian) | 115 comments Good point, Kath. No point having 1000 downloads if no-one reads it.
