Encountering Christ in Holy Scripture with Lectio Divina

Christian faith begins with a real and personal encounter with Jesus - meeting Him, hearing Him, perceiving in Him the deepest and substantial Truth. Pope Benedict XVI has encouraged us all to seek that encounter so that we might come into a fervent Faith that alone can transform both us and the world.

He has also encouraged us to rediscover the ancient practice of "sacred reading", Lectio Divina, which can open the depths of the Holy Word for us. In the words of Holy Scripture, we can meet the Word - and that is the point.

It's a small book (only in Nook and Kindle format), but it will lead the reader through careful observance of the steps of the method. And the method will enable any who will adapt it as a discipline, and who will seek earnestly to probe the sacred words, to that blessed meeting with the Lord. "Faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17)
