Read in Middle School, set in the South, Mystery[s]

This book was about a boy and his family moving to a new town in the South. He then began to find strange symbols around the house (maybe triangles?). At the end of the novel there is some big reveal where the mystery is solved and a character comes out of hiding. I think it may have had something to do with the Underground Railroad.
