What are you currently reading?
The Death Cure by James Dashner I'm 73% done with the book and there is no snow like there is on the cover. It better get cold quick.
I just love reading atmospheric books. It was snowing when I was reading Tabula Rasa which was AWESOME! And now I'm trying to read Scarlet before the thing expires
Well I have Scarlet for awhile longer it seems, but since it seems I'm coming down with something...Picked up these from the library so I can curl up with a good book and relax:
And:
I'm still gonna try to work on Scarlet... And this is a bit of a guilt confession but I actually own a copy of Clockwork Angel in Paperback, but I don't have the other two Infernal Devices books so I figure this way I can marathon read. (Saving my gift card, still can't decide what to buy)
Still reading:The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive #1) by Brandon Sanderson, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7...
but added
Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits #1) by Katie McGarry. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Oh yeah! I'm going to be in book heaven this week end. I'm in a happy place right now. I just got: Stone Cold Touch (The Dark Elements #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle #3) by Maggie Stiefvater https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
and
In The Afterlight (The Darkest Minds #3) by Alexandra Bracken https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
!!!!!!!
Storm wrote: "I GIVE UP ON SCARLET! I CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE!"Lol. I don't fully blame you on this. I loved Cinder so much and was a little disappointed by the second book. Oh well, they can't all be as good as the first.
Side note, Infernal Devices is amazing. You're going to love the last book!

Really, I was so disappinted by Cinder and ended up loving Scarlet!

Can't wait to read it.
Marie - I couldn't take the slow startups.
Rereading
- it's been several years since I read the series and I'm forcing my best friend to finally read them with me ;)
Ah bestie reading... I remember those days... I lost a bet to mine and wound up reading part of Twilight...That twas awkward.I did start Clockwork Angel but I'm wondering if I should read City of Bones first... I saw the City of Bones film, but I'm sure there's bits and pieces cut out.

I read the Mortal Instruments series first, but I started reading Clockwork Angel before the last book of MI came out. I'm glad I read Infernal Devices before the last book of MI because it referenced characters that you only really knew from ID. In the end, it doesn't actually matter what series you read first, but you will probably want to read ID before you get to the end of MI - if that makes any sense, lol!

It totally does. XD I think I'll try to read ID first since I already started it and it's shorter and that way I can enjoy the Mortal Instruments in the fullest

I loved Mortal Instruments, but... I loved Infernal Devices much much more :)

XD I've heard so many good things about the series, I'm excited to read them both.
I'm reading
and listening to
. I'm mixed on the first one and liking the second one more than I thought. It's kind of MG, which isn't my thing but still good.

Honestly, I would read 2-3 of The Mortal Instruments books first, then start on The Infernal Devices. Definitely read the last book of TID before you read the last book in the TMI series. That makes the most sense and you'll be able to appreciate everything properly.

How are you liking it so far? I enjoy the way Stephanie Myers writes, in spite of all of the hype that surrounds the Twilight series - her book, The Host, is one of my favorites, and I love the way she writes emotions :)

It sounds like some are in the mood to revisit books you know are good. I think it's this time of year that inspires that. :)
Sherlee wrote: "
I finally got my hands on this bad boy!:')"I just picked it up today too. I won't be able to start on it yet though. Can't wait. How do you like it?

I wish I were you right now. To be able to go back and read that book for the first time.
I'm a little over halfway through Stone Cold Touch (The Dark Elements #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout and loving it! https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
I've been waiting for this book to come out!

You know, it's funny, I tried to read Twilight maybe 3 years ago, and I couldn't stand how whiny Bella was so about halfway through the book I couldn't take it anymore and stopped, ha ha ha. But now I'm loving it! So glad I gave it another chance.
I'll have to read The Host once I finish the Twilight series!
I needed something quick so I wound up reading this:
I really wish people would stop using other books or films as selling points. The summary says it's for Fans of The Selection by Kiera Cass but this is no where NEAR anywhere close to it. It was a good read at least.

This, in my opinion, is the best dystopian series out there!
