Heather Brown | 6 comments I think the best moment in pride and predjuice is when Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth are arguing over what he did towards her sister and Mr. Bingley. I believe that is the moment when she realized that she does have feeling for him. The sexual tension between the two is amazing.

Sophie | 1458 comments Love that Eve! I would have SOO said yes!! How could you not! And when the words he speaks are spoken ;)

And the sexual tension is amazing!! So strong and she is starting to realise it yes. And then she gets the letter... Explaining the truth!

Elif | 26 comments In the 1995 version when Mr Darcy says "I shall conquere this, I shall!" and when he comes just after Elizabeth finds out that Lydia had run away, while she was crying, he says "No,no" with compassion..:)

Stephanie (stephanie-jo) | 79 comments I think one of my faves is one of the first times that Bingley comes to talk to jane....or when lizzie finds georgianne.

message 112: by Sophie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sophie | 1458 comments I love Lizzie and Georgiana :)

message 113: by Elif (new) - rated it 5 stars

Elif | 26 comments In 95 version, I also love Georgiana's look while saying "I should've like to have a sister". Meaningful ;))

message 114: by Sophie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sophie | 1458 comments However insulting, it really showed how much he loved her.

message 115: by Faby (new) - rated it 5 stars

Faby (fabyhernandez) | 39 comments i know, even whe ALL know , hi is kind of insulting her, well in his cute mind he is telling her that NOTHING matter bud that he loves her

thats the 2005 film ;) but yes! that moment it so funny and shows such a great relationship between them!

message 121: by Raneem (new) - rated it 5 stars

Raneem | 1 comments in the movie my two favorite parts..... the first time mr. darcy helps lizzy to the carriage after her visit to netherfield and then the camera focuses on his hand "that was touching" and the other one when he enters suddenly on lizzy at mr. collins house and he cant speak

in the book my favorite part when she starts to realize that she loves him... i love the part were she says"why if he came to be silent, grave and indifferent did he came at all

message 122: by Sophie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sophie | 1458 comments I love those parts!! The carriage yes! And the look he gives her! And he is so awkward when he visits! I feel so sorry for him!

Christina | 5 comments fave moment is when elizabeth overheard darcy saying that she is not that attractive

message 124: by Leah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Leah | 9 comments I think my favorite part is when Lizzy meets Darcy unexpectedly at Pemberley and she's really embarassed to find him there. This is when she sees a different side to him and begins to change her opinion of him.

message 125: by Elif (new) - rated it 5 stars

Elif | 26 comments Yes, that scene is great both in the book and the 95 version. :)

Agreed :)

message 127: by Sophie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sophie | 1458 comments That's great in , as you say, book 95 and 05! Love it! Great and important moment!

Louise Sparrow (louisex) | 304 comments Don't hate me but, while I love that moment in the book, it's one of the main reasons I do not like the '95 version, I think him being dripping wet renders it ridiculous.

message 129: by Sophie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sophie | 1458 comments hahahahaha i don't hate you ;) But i am not complaining about that moment ;)
but I do see your point. but I think the conversation was still great (and i thought it was very sweet how he asked after her family, twice! )

message 130: by Elif (new) - rated it 5 stars

Elif | 26 comments And I never be able to imagine Darcy wet in public (it is his estate, but kind of public I think, there are a lot of people live in there:)) but I agree with Soph about the conversation. He gave that look perfectly and confusing manner was so sweet:) And there is following scene, that he rushes to catch them and meeting Gardiners and requesting to introduce Georgiana. I believe he was all Darcy then. :)

message 131: by Sophie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sophie | 1458 comments YES!! And he seems like the perfect gentleman and so easy and obliging and he smiles! Love the Pemberley scene, and love the green coat and beige trousers number he has going on!

Rebecca May Sandi wrote: "My favorite, by far, has to be Mr. Collins preposterous proposal to Elizabeth Bennet. What a complete dolt he must be to think that's the way to win a woman.

Runner up: Mr. Darcy's first proposal..."

These are definitely not my favorite scenes, but like you I do seem to find them endlessly amusing :).

Rebecca May Alice wrote: "LadyDisdain wrote: "Also in the 2005 version, when Collins goes, "What a superbly furnished room and what excellent boiled potatoes; it's been many years since I've had such an exemplary vegetable...."

My immediate response to that line is always ":D Seriously???"

Rebecca May Jamie wrote: "My favorite scene is probably a tie between Lucas Lodge and Darcy talking to Elizabeth at the piano at Rosings. Both are such perfect illustrations of their characters, their wit, their blindness (..."

If we are talking about the 2005 version, does anyone else like the look that Darcy gives Elizabeth behind her back, just watching her play the piano with a strange kind of hopelessness on his face, as though he might want to say something else but can't bring himself to? I certainly love that bit - it makes my heart ache, that look.

message 135: by Sophie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sophie | 1458 comments Seriously is just the reaction I give Becca!

And YES!! I love that look he gives her! He wants to say more!! But he can't!!

message 136: by Devina (new) - rated it 5 stars

Devina Dutta | 12 comments Frankly there were loads but asked to narrow them down, I would short list the 1st Darcy proposal, the rather delightful exchanges between Lady Catherine and Lizzy! :P, and the first time Lizzy meets Darcy at Pemberley...:)

message 137: by Sophie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sophie | 1458 comments The 'talk' between Lizzy and Lady Catherine is great!

Rebecca May Devina wrote: "Frankly there were loads but asked to narrow them down, I would short list the 1st Darcy proposal, the rather delightful exchanges between Lady Catherine and Lizzy! :P, and the first time Lizzy mee..."

When Lizzy meets Darcy at Pemberley in the 2005 version, I love the bit when Elizabeth accidentally sees Darcy hug his sister and twirl her around, laughing. The happy look on his face is wonderful, touching and refreshing, considering how subdued Darcy often seems. And in that same movie, the perfect awkwardness between them when she runs outside, and how upset she is at having been found visiting - I love it. I think perhaps in that film at least, the first moment Elizabeth started to realize her affection for Darcy was when she saw his sincere warmth and love for his younger sister.

message 140: by Sophie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sophie | 1458 comments I have to agree.
I love that bit! It really shows a Different side to him. And he seems to have a great relationship with his sister. I also love when they are talking and they are both silent, and then both speak on top of each other - so sweet!!

(I saw a great picture of this moment. It has a picture of this moment when Lizzy has been found and they are talking outside Pemberley, and the caption underneath says 'the awkward moment when you are found creeping around the house of the man you rejected. By the man you rejected.' hahaha!!)

message 149: by Usha (new) - rated it 5 stars

Usha Bisht (ushabisht) | 1 comments of course the confrontation of Darcy and Elizabeth is one of the epic scenes. I do like the scene where in at the end, in the wee hours of morning Darcy comes back to Elizabeth to apologize for lady Catherine's barging into her house and mis behaving and the way he proposes her again takes my breath away. The scene is filmed so nicely in the movie too.. love it.
