I love the Mortal Instrument series too! Have you read her other shadow hunter series? The Dark Artifices are good. I just finished the first book and absolutely loved it. There's also the Court of Thorns and Roses series too. Those are really good.

Hiii I'm from Canada too! Percy Jackson will always have a special place in my heart cause I grew up with it lol and I absolutely love a lot of Cassandra Clare's books also. The selection is pretty sick those books were my all time favorites a few years back :0
