Did anyone really see a love triangle?

Did anyone really see a love triangle, did you see love at all.

One boy believed he was in love with the girl, the girl believed she was in love with the other boy. I think it's some kind of modern love.

I think it was a stage 1 love triangle. Once you've moved beyond that phase you see love differently.
I thought Leonard was in love with himself enough for the 3 of them
These are really young characters. Their 'love' is still a bit selfish and confused at that age. I believe Madeline loved Leonard but also loved the idea of being with him; look at how long she cared for him even through his depression. As for him being 'in love with himself' I disagree. He was sick.
And of course Mitchell believes he is in love with Madeline, but eventually learns that it's never going to work.
So yes, love. But young stupid selfish love. First love, I guess.

I think we can agree there is a lot of self-love from all of the characters (even Madeline who takes care of Leonard in order to get her own sense of satisfaction and worth), but how can we argue if there is any love between the characters if we are not defining what love is?
Just finished this and i agree that there was no actual love in this triange. a lot of want and need, some desire and some disappointment but at no time did i feel that either of these three loved anyone except maybe themselves.
