Chris Walker | 4 comments Hello. I'm trying to track down a book from my childhood. I read it in the late 1980s, though it might be older because it was in our school library. I believes it is a book about 2 kids exploring this old house where anawful noise comes from..I think the noise was a sound called "Tallapooooosa" (Something like that. In the end it turned out to be a cat or something like that....HELP! I remember the art was very nice, and the middle spalsh page had the two kids at the bottom of the hill looking up at this old house.....

Mlk | 23 comments This sounds a little like The Tailypo: A Ghost Story (published 1984), because that's a book where I can remember someone hearing a noise "taillyyypoooo" from a house, although this has an old man and not kids.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 1396 comments Wonderful, Chris, and Mlk. I can't find this book to shelve it. And, is it a children's book? I am going to put it in the children's/ya folder unless you say it should be moved. If you can give me a link to the book or at least the author, perhaps I can find it and shelve it. Thanks so much.

Chris, Very sweet but unfortunately my library's policies don't allow anyone to donate books to them for circulation purposes. Any book donated to them goes into their library sale.

And, I appreciate the offer but right now I am so overbooked I have books piled up all over the place, many library books with due dates. But thank you.
