She is an English author born in Kenya. Only her books set in England can be claimed for that country.

Sarah (Bright & Bookish) (brightandbookish) | 113 comments I am wondering if my AtW itinerary (post 30 in the itinerary folder) has been approved?

Thank you for the reminder! When I last looked I thought the countries were out of order, but now I see they are fine & you are good to go.

Christin, your second journey looks good.

Anika, your revised journey is also fine.

Thank you! I'm really excited to go through a second time ^_^

Sarah (Bright & Bookish) (brightandbookish) | 113 comments I noticed that at the top of the itineraries page it just says to post the countries and longitudes but not the title of books to be read. Does this mean that if I want to change books so long as the coutry remains the same I do not need to get the change approved?

For example the first stop on my itinerary is the US, I just got my copy of Déjà Dead by Kathy Reichs and started reading it and it is not my cup of tea. I was hoping to change to Across the Universe by Beth Revis which still fulfills the requirement as the author was born in the US and is currently a citizen. So should I edit my itinerary? Once I have done that does the change need to be approved?

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14224 comments The change does not have to be approved. Just to be on the safe side, please make a note of the change when you post it as read. Thanks!

Arow I am going to change the last book of my Circumnavigator itinerary but keep the country the same. I wanted to post it here to confirm that it fit for UK, Europe.

I would like to change the The Virgin's Lover by Philippa Gregory to I'm the King of the Castle by Susan Hill.

From what I have read Susan Hill is from the UK and the novel takes place in the UK. If the book is confirmed for the UK I will make note of it when I post the points.

Thanks for your help!

Perfect; thank you very much for the quick response. I am still 6 books away from my last stop but didn't want to forget to ask :-)

Deedee | 2279 comments Quick question --- Carol Shields was born and raised in America; however, she married a Canadian, and according to her official website
http://www.carol-shields.com/biograph...

.... a week after their marriage, Carol became a landed immigrant in Canada. Her Canadian life had begun. Carol Shields became a Canadian citizen in March 1971.

And .... the novel I'm considering, The Republic of Love, was published in 1992 (21 years AFTER she became a Canadian citizen!). The novel is set in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

I'd like to use The Republic of Love for Canada. Let me know if that won't work!!! Thanks!

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14224 comments Yes, Carol Shields is a Canadian author who was born in the US. So she qualifies for Canada under the B part of the rules and a book set in Canada will fit.
