well I really love this book, they (whoever they are) are going to ruin this by making it into a film! However if they have to i think that the brothers from vampire diaries should play Ian and Kyle, not sure who i want for jared yet, will get back to you!

Horribly cast. Saoirse is a good actress but not exactly Melanie type in my opinion. I just hope that the movie turns out to be good because The Host is an amazing book.

ooooooh, i hated Ian's casting, this Jake Abel guy, GROSS. i pictured Ian a brown-eyed tanned guy like many girls in the discussion.
plus, i really don't think i recognize any of them, but i just know they'll repeat the twilight tragedy!!!
and i really didn't like any of the cast but i think Jared's casting was the less harmful one...

OMG!! that's the girl in THE LOVELY BONES??!!! she's already 18??!! didn't recognize her at all!!! it's like my shook with Dakota Fanning when i found out she's Jane in New moon and Eclipse when i always pictured her a ten year old girl. and if that's really Suzie Salmon, i think she's gonna make it.

no, i think holbrook will do just fine with the part kyle. and the people who's been questioning this Jamie actor, i think he will too..when you see them in action it gets different.

I wanted Ian Somerhalder to be Ian (no, not because of the name). I don't know Jake Abel but I'll wait for the movie itself to judge his acting.

I can't really see Ian Somerhalder playing Ian, but i could see him playing Jared. Because Jared is sort of more...I don't know, just seems a better role for Ian Somerhalder if he would've played any character.
