Should I Read?

I noticed on the Waterstones website that the 12th book to this series will be out soon and wondered if it was worth starting or not? Can anybody help??

I would recommend you read the series. i loved it. i can't wait for the next book to come out. you will really enjoy the series... TRY IT!

It's got a little of everything. It's not a "love story" in itself, but it's definitely in there.

yes, you will enjoy the relationships between several of the charcters.

Just a quicky about a couple of other long series.. Has anybody read The Vampire Diaries or True Blood? Anygood????

I haven't read The Vampire Diaries or True Blood, but I love The Morganville Vampire series. Like Kristen so rightly said, it's a little bit of everything. Def action, and some books are more romance-y than others. I'm not a huge romance fan, but the romances in this series aren't too over-the-top. A lot of romance drama though, which is pretty understandable when you are constantly half-dying. haha

Think I'll definitely give 'The Morganville' series a go! Sounds really up my street!
I'll no doubt read 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'True Blood' at some point in the future but i'll start with this =)

I have read both. Vampire diaries was good, but not one of my favorites. And the Sookie Stackhouse Series is awesome. Book 12 will be out 5/1/2012, and I am seriously counting down the days. The show True Blood and the books are completly different too, aside from the first book/first season. So I am also a huge fan of the show too!

I think I got to chapter three in the Vampire Diaries before I couldn't stand reading anymore. And that doesn't happen often with me.
I do hear that the True Blood series is really good though.

I personally didn't like the vampire diaries book series but the true blood one is pretty good.
Morganville is by far the best of the three though. I thought the first two in the series were a little difficult to get into but from the third on I was hooked! x

Love love love this series. For vampire fiction, it's very realistic. The characters are amazingly developed.

I loved these books and they diffinetly worth reading, however they are for younger readers. Since you mentioned you like romance try J.R.Ward's, black dagger brotherhood series(over 16's at least). I have read the True Blood series and it is brilliant, as for the vampire diaries I have'nt read those and most likly never will as it was hard enough to suffer through the tv series. Hope this helps.

I'm currently on the second book and it is AMAZING totally a good vampire book .. One of my new all time favourite series

I can't wait to get my teeth into something amazing again, It's been a while since i found a book I couldn't put down! Started reading a short story last night and it took 5 hours to read which of course meant I didn't get a chance to pick up the book I'm currently reading which also means I'm a day late getting a new one! My list of books to read is getting bigger!
Hope you enjoy the second book as much as the first!

Charline Harris is fantastic she write the Sookie Stackhouse series. But be warned if you watch the TV show its not the same as the book. Both eqaully good.

this series so amazing. it does not go and make you hit yourself because you read it. i think the book stayed pretty consistent throughout the all series. even if you skip a few books, you will understand what is going on mostly. try it.
