Just curious. Does anyone use their local library?

My wife works at the local library so I don't have a choice ;) She's bulked up the PNR and UF sections considerable since she started working there so they have a selection that comes close to rivaling the New Release shelf at bookstores.

Yes I do, borrowing books - sometimes for my wife's local book club - occasionally DVD's, using the free terminals, and... buying recycling bags! I also use the reference library for research work for my own writing.
I use to. I'm no longer physically able, so I get my books from Amazon. But I think it is vital that we keep a strong library system in our country.
I used to quite frequently, it's how I first got into the Outlander series. There were already 4 or 5 books out at the time (maybe 6) and I read one after the other until I had to start waiting for the newest release.
I havent checked out a book or read a book from a library in years, but i do go there frequently with my tablet to read. I just love being surrounded by books and their smell while i read.
Yup! Currently 8 books checked out (6 ebooks & 2 audiobooks). Just downloaded "The Fate of Ten" which I get to keep for 21 days!
I frequent 5 local libraries and use the eShelves. They are my favorite spots to hang out. Better than a coffee shop! Most of them have little cafés.. so best of both worlds.
I love my local library but don't use it much at all - I don't like checking out books! I have over 1,600 at home waiting to be read, so no need to check out books. However, I do like shopping there in the friends of the library used books sales.
love the local library. I can see if there are any new releases I want or recommended reads . I can reserve them from my tablet to be collected and even get an e-mail to tell me when there ready for collection.love my kindle too.
All my local libraries either moved or closed. :'( I wish I could go to a library like every day. When I go to college, I will. There's a giant library right by it.
I use my local library for my 7 year old kid. I don't want to spend a ton of money on books that he might only read once. Plus they have French books. :)
Love my library!I borrow books, music, DVD's... Currently owe a small fine, but don't tell 'em, ok?
; )

I know, right?
"TREASURE HUNT!"
i use overdrive heavily from two library systems - happy to not have to pay for audiobooks and ebooks if i don't have to
I use my library all the time. Not for ebooks but for real paper and ink books. Call me oldfashon but i always preferred actual books.
I never used a library except for school assignments. I usually only visit my library's "swap" shelf to gain new books for free. Typically though I buy.
My library is my second home, and I usually pick up the books by big name authors there, really nice when I can read brand new hardback releases. However, I don't find a lot of my favorite indie authors at the library and so buy them. Other reasons I'll buy a book: a) I want to add it to my keeper shelf or, b) I want to support the author. :)
I love my library...regular books, audio-books, dvds. I am streaming an audio book as I type from the downloadable section. Luv it. I just download some music from the service they offer...very cool. I still have my audible account and pay Amazon a ton of money each month. So many books so little time...

I tried Prime but could hardly find any books I liked that could be checked out, and its only 1 book per month!!!
