Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments Just thought I would get some dialog going. There is about as much excitement as a morgue in here.

*runs around in circles singing - Take on Me by A-Ha*

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments Yay - a person!! I was feeling a bit lonely.

message 5: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Lawton (httpwwwgoodreadscomstephlawton) | 15 comments LOL, that's my favorite 80s song. DH showed me this video of some kids in North Korea playing it on the accordian. It's like ... an abomination of nature. So I'm totally posting it on my blog tomorrow!

What's everyone up to this weekend?

message 6: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments oOo -- I'll check that out for sure :) Ironically, it is my 12yr old daughter's favorite song now... well that and Pina Colada Boy (I hate that one sooooo much).

My weekend will hopefully include my writing the middle section of a short story I have in the works in between mommy carting and other parental type obligations.

What do you have on the Calendar after you finish the Kermit Flails from the completion of your Cover Reveal on Friday?

message 7: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Lawton (httpwwwgoodreadscomstephlawton) | 15 comments Tomorrow we're driving to Mississippi to get a new car for DH. *rolls eyes* Then Sunday I have critique group, where we laugh and make dirty comments about our manuscripts. I can't believe we haven't gotten kicked out of Panera yet. :)

Debbie Peterson (debbie_peterson) Am I late for the party? (Dang head cold...)

Nope, come on in! Have some ... punch. Yeah, that's it. :)

message 10: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments Hiya Debbie -- Never too late in my book.

@Steph: That sounds like fun.

message 11: by Debbie (new)

Debbie Peterson (debbie_peterson) I can bring the cookies...and a handful of M&M's for Shilpa!

message 12: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments M&Ms work... It earned me an extra word on my Promo line :)

message 13: by Shilpa (new)

Shilpa Mudiganti (shilpamudiganti) | 18 comments Mod
Oh yes, I need all the M&M's especially when its that nail biting time of reviews!

message 14: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments I am all about the Mounds bar (dark chocolate...mmmm)

message 15: by Cecilia (new)

Cecilia Robert (Cece26) | 17 comments Heya! Just got in! I see the party is already underway.. and Reb - I love that song! :D

message 16: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments It is a little freaky to know my 12yr old likes all the old songs I loved. Yesterday, I caught her crooning to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.

But my favorite is when she raps with my Eminem songs...she cracks me up!

message 17: by Debbie (new)

Debbie Peterson (debbie_peterson) Got some little ones running around the family rocking out to "Juke Box Hero..." Gotta love that! (I'll take one of those mounds bars) And Shilpa... Your reviews are doing great!

message 18: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Lawton (httpwwwgoodreadscomstephlawton) | 15 comments OK, I have a question for everyone. If you were going to get a tattoo to commemorate your book coming out, what would it be and WHERE? O_O

message 19: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments I have a tatt in mind and have for years, but it isnt specific to this book....Soooo

Hmmm. I would get a pirate flag or a skull and cross bones on my shoulderblade, I think.

message 20: by Shilpa (new)

Shilpa Mudiganti (shilpamudiganti) | 18 comments Mod
Steph - Interesting question! Hmm, i always wanted a tattoo on my ankle. So, I think I will get a eiffel tower around my ankle...or may be make it vertical on the inner side of the ankle. :p But it needs to be on the ankle. Haha.

Cecilia Robert (Cece26) | 17 comments Stephanie wrote: "OK, I have a question for everyone. If you were going to get a tattoo to commemorate your book coming out, what would it be and WHERE? O_O"

Mmmh.. I've always wanted a tatt on my wrist (inner side) I love dragons+angels - draangels from one of my WIP..wouldn't mind a tiny, fang-y one. It has nothing to do with books, but I love it. :D

message 22: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments My forever wanted tatt - is the image of a water sprite trying to take flight, but is tethered to the ground by the ankle to a ball and chain. The ball of the tether would be my anklebone and she would run up the side of my calf.

The symbolism behind it is my long time RPG character, Snipit, a water sprite I "played" for over 4 years, while teh ball and chain is to signify I have been captured by my darling boyfriend.

Someday!

Debbie Peterson (debbie_peterson) Stephanie wrote: "OK, I have a question for everyone. If you were going to get a tattoo to commemorate your book coming out, what would it be and WHERE? O_O"

I would have to get one that washes off over time so I could change it with my mood (and my book)... But for Witte Wieven? I think a storm cloud with a bolt of lightning in the middle and... right above my ankle...

Wow, so romantic, Reb! *sigh* I'm just picturing that in my mind, especially the ball and chain... your heart is tied to his..ohh *tiny hearts hopping around in my head*

message 25: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments hehe -- and the bonus here is that if things ever went south, I just need to have a tatt artist put a break in the chain showing I broke free :)

Though after almost 7 years together, I dont think that one is going to happen :P

message 26: by Cecilia (new)

Cecilia Robert (Cece26) | 17 comments Rebecca wrote: "hehe -- and the bonus here is that if things ever went south, I just need to have a tatt artist put a break in the chain showing I broke free :)

Gosh, you almost burst my bubble of romantic thoughts with that first sentence..lol

message 27: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments :P Im a closet realist. Besides, with tattoos, you have to keep in mind the bigger picture. It's kinda like that whole dont put someone's name on you thing. You just never know.

Totally agree with you. It'd be painful having the tattoo undone, I think.

message 29: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Lawton (httpwwwgoodreadscomstephlawton) | 15 comments Thinking of having "We all Want something" done in white ink, but I'm not sure how it would look on extremely pale skin. (And I'd have the word "Want" done in the same font as on the book cover.)

It would probably pop just fine so long as they outlined it nicely with a darker color or black.

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments We really need an exterminator for all these crickets.

By the way, my book made tops of the Most Anticipated Debut novels list.
(Thanks to everyone who voted - it is way cool)

message 32: by Sasha (new)

Sasha Summers (sashawrites) | 6 comments I voted for you Rebecca :)! How does it feel? Being on a list names Most Anticipated Debut? I mean, holy cow - very cool!

message 33: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments It's quite freaky -- a little less so knowing I did advertise myself for it and let people know about it. Intimidating as I see # in the to read listing grow.

They will judge me and it better be up to par...yanno? Not quite as scary as your family and friends beta reading it.

message 34: by Sasha (new)

Sasha Summers (sashawrites) | 6 comments I'm kinda glad I'm not on the list ;) Takes a wee bit of the pressure off. LOL! How awesome that you're already building interest though. That's huge!
Yea, the whole review thing is soooo scary. You never know how people are going to respond to your work.

message 35: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments Hehe -- We are both going to find out soon enough. When is your release date?

message 36: by Sasha (new)

Sasha Summers (sashawrites) | 6 comments Slated for August 7th. But I know that's a bit fluid :) I have another book coming out with a different house as well (and it's VERY different) so promoting is interesting! When's your release date?

message 37: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments June 21 - feels like forever - just like the wait for the cover.

Been working on shorts of late. Just subbed an erotica for a friend's charity anthology, and working on a fairy tale twist for another opening.

message 38: by T. (new)

T. Nelson (tmichellenelson) | 4 comments I can hardly wait to read both your books. And Sasha, I know you probably don't want to say, but I'm DYING to know who your British muse was for the one you were discussing. I know who mine would be!

message 39: by Sasha (new)

Sasha Summers (sashawrites) | 6 comments June 21 is so soon! That's AWESOME Rebacca. YAY!
Thanks Michelle, I can't admit to it - just can't. People love him or HATE him... BUT, once you read it, I think it's VERY obvious who my Josh Wiley is/was. :) *SIGH* He's pretty hawt. And sweet. And adorable... I'm not at all fond of him. LOL!

message 40: by T. (new)

T. Nelson (tmichellenelson) | 4 comments Great... Now I'll be on pins and needles until I can read it!

message 41: by Shilpa (new)

Shilpa Mudiganti (shilpamudiganti) | 18 comments Mod
Sasha, I have read the book and I still couldn't guess it. Really who? Josh had his own presence. No one like him. He is a sweetheart and so unique!
TIna, yes you have to read it!
Rebecca - Yay! This is totally going on FB in few minutes! People will love your book. Dont worry!

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments Debbie wrote: "It might take a magic wand to dispel the spell..."

Crap -- I don't have one... just pirate garb and a cool sword... you?

message 45: by Debbie (new)

Debbie Peterson (debbie_peterson) I have a handsome "Wolf" from the seventeenth century...Think he'll do???

message 46: by Sasha (new)

Sasha Summers (sashawrites) | 6 comments Um... I don't have a magic wand, sword, pirate garb, or 17th century wolf... I know, I'm feeling like a loser too....

message 47: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments You can borrow my piratey flag if'n it will make you feel more loved and less loserly :)

But, I am keeping the eye patch!

message 48: by T. (new)

T. Nelson (tmichellenelson) | 4 comments I had this horrible eye allergy that made my eyeball swell and... ok, nevermind the details, but I had to wear an eyepatch last year. I totally thought I was rockin' the look like Darryl Hannah in Kill Bill... until I realized I totally wasn't. So, Rebecca, if you're giving away flags, I'd love a Jolly Roger to fly off the back of my canoe, but you can keep the eyepatch. I'm sure it would look way hotter on you.

message 49: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Hart (rebeccahartwriting) | 65 comments LOLOLOL - now that's funny.... (I swear I am only giggling WITH you :P)
