How do you like to read? Do you prefer real paper or ebook? A certain time of day or place? Do you need a cup of tea or cozy blanket, music or silence? Do you have any other reading rituals?

I am a new mom so I am still trying to find ways to get in some reading during the day, and, of course, at night my Husband would occasionally like to spend some time with me! lol. When I do manage to get some time to myself I read on a Sony Reader. I prefer to cuddle up on the couch with my snuggie (yes, I own a snuggie and I LOVE IT!)and play some classical or instrumental music.

I read whenever I get a chance, which is usually during my lunch break or right before bed. I prefer dead-tree books, but I've been getting into ebooks a little (since the classics are free). When I'm reading, I like to have some cocoa or a soda, something with caffeine.

Cheryl | 17 comments I like to read at night, so I like complete silence. I read in bed (lots of blankets) with an occasional cup of coffee if I know that I have a lot of reading to do. I prefer physical books but I do read ebooks that I sometimes check out from my library's online website or get from the public domain.

Lois (loisbennett) I don't really have a favourite place to read - I can read anywhere, noisy or quiet. I am slightly addicted to tea, though, so that's always a bonus. And I only read real books (as in, paper).

Catherine (puddingduck) | 4 comments I read everywhere, any time - at lunch, on the tube, sitting in the hallway in between classes. I'm really good at blocking out backround noise for a good story.

Real books are my favourite, though I'll read an ebook if that's all I have. I'm trying to train myself into listening to audiobooks. I tend to get distracted, but recently I've gotten into art, so I like listening to audiobooks while drawing.

Katrina (irrakatze) | 3 comments I love to read in bed with lots and lots of warm blankets and a warm cup of tea. I can read almost anywhere and do. If I could read and drive at the same time that would be a bonus but as it stands I can only read in the car while someone else is driving.

I have always prefered to buy hard cover books and never enjoyed e-books. I don't know why I prefer to buy hardcovers because I love to twist and bend my paperbacks (I saw you cringe!), therefore trade paperbacks tend to be what I gravitate too.

Liza (lizamauldin) I love real books, but do read e-books. The availability of classics for free has been my main motivation for reading e-books.

I love reading, so I read any and everywhere. But most habitually at night before going to sleep, and during my lunch break.

Curled up in the bed with my little monster and a good book is my favorite way to spend an entire rainy afternoon…

Sarah I can and do read just about anywhere and anytime, always making sure that I have at least two or three books with me at all times! I do prefer quiet and solitude when I read, though; my favorite place to read is outside (I live in the country) under a tree with the soothing sounds of nature in the background. When the weather is inclement, or during the winter, I like to listen to spa or classical music while reading. A latte helps too! I still love physical books, but I did recently get a Kindle and love it too because it is a compact way to carry my library everywhere! :-)
