Hi Daniel. I've got you tagged and liked. As for the "Likes", I believe it simply looks better to have a large number listed because it's one of the very first things potential customers view when visiting the page for your book. I am unaware of any other benefit, if there is any.

Guys, I'm sorry if I'm coming off as lame, but I'm a bit confused about the whole tagging. Could someone explain?
"Tags" are keywords which are associated with your book to help people find it when they are searching for similar subjects on the web. They really do help promote your book. The more tags your book has, the more web pages it will show up on in searches for similar books. Although others can add whatever tags they would like to your book at Amazon, it's better if you add your own to make sure they represent the most accurate keywords. To set up your tags at Amazon, simply go onto the page for your book and scroll down to where it says tags customers associate with this product. You can then enter the tags you prefer to use. 15 tags (the maximum you're allowed) are recomended. To "Tag" books for other people, simply go to their page and place your mouse cursor on the same tagging area of their page. Next, press the letter "t" on your keyboard twice in a row (tt)and the top tags for that persons book will appear. You simply highlight the tags which appear and then copy and paste them in the box which is directly above them and click save. That's it! You've effectively tagged all of the tags (15 hopefully) for that person's book as well. It's quite easy once you get the hang of it. Best of luck. - Brian
